PACKAGING UNIT WITH RIBS AND METHOD FOR PACKING PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a packaging unit (2) with a label for products like eggs, and a method there for. The packaging unit according to the present invention comprises: a cover part (14) comprising top, front, side and rear surfaces; and a bottom part (4) comprising a number of compartments (26) for individual products, and a number of cones (28) that are positioned between adjacent compartments; wherein the bottom part comprising a number of ribs (34) extending between at least some of the compartments, wherein the bottom part further comprises a groove (48) between adjacent compartments, and wherein the grooves fire configured to receive part of the ribs of another packaging unit
COMPOSTABLE CELLULOSE-BASED PAPER FOR GAS BARRIER IN PACKAGING MATERIAL
This invention relates to a compostable cellulose-based paper having an oxygen transmission rate of less than 10 cm.sup.3/(m.sup.2 day), when determined at 23° C. and 50% relative humidity, the compostable cellulose-based paper comprising a continuous cellulosic fiber matrix that comprises native cellulosic fibers and non-fibrous cellulosic material, wherein the content of the non-fibrous cellulosic material in the continuous cellulosic fiber matrix is of from 15 to 50 wt. %.
COMPOSTABLE LID FOR SEALING A BEVERAGE CAPSULE OR A BEVERAGE PAD AND CAPSULES AND PADS SEALED THEREWITH
This invention relates a compostable lid for sealing a beverage capsule or a beverage pad wherein the lid comprises a natural-fiber based support obtainable by: (i) providing a first fibrous base sheet comprising natural fiber material sensitive to a gelatinizing agent; (ii) treating the first base sheet with a gelatinizing agent to give a treated first fibrous base sheet comprising gelatinized material; (iii) providing a second fibrous base sheet; (iv) contacting the treated first fibrous base sheet and the second base sheet with each other; (v) causing at least partial migration of the gelatinized material from the treated first fibrous base sheet into the second fibrous base sheet to give a multilayer product; and (vi) neutralizing and/or washing the product thus obtained and then drying it.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PERSONAL HYGIENE AND BEAUTY PRODUCT PACKAGING
Disclosed herein are earth-friendly packaging systems and methods for containing and dispensing consumable products, such as cosmetics or personal hygiene products. In some embodiments, a body of the packaging system comprises a plurality of circumferentially-oriented detachable strips surrounding a consumable product, wherein individual detachable strips can be removed as the consumable product is used.
Card and Gift Packaging with Laminate Strip
Packaging comprising: (a) a top portion; and (b) a bottom portion connected to and separable from the top portion by a fold region; wherein the fold region include scoring, perforation, or both to facilitate separation of the top portion and the bottom portion.
BIODEGRADABLE CONTAINER
Disclosed is a biodegradable container comprising a biodegradable material and a reinforced barrier film coated onto the biodegradable material, wherein the reinforced barrier film comprises graphene nanoplatelets dispersed in a biodegradable polymeric substrate.
CAPSULE
A capsule includes a casing having an axis of extension, the casing including a base wall and a lateral wall defining a cavity for containing an initial product. A closing element is fixed to the base wall for perforation by a blade of a fluid injection device The base wall includes an annular edge region extending to the lateral wall, a central region, and a groove, interposed between the central and edge regions, and shaped to receive the blades. The closing element has a central portion fixed to the central region and an edge portion fixed to the edge region. The central region and the edge region extend on respective planes which are offset from each other along the axis such that an intermediate portion of the closing element, interposed between the central portion and the edge portion for closing the groove, is inclined.
RESEALABLE BAG WITH INELASTIC DEFORMABLE POLYMER
The resealable bag has a main body including a resealing layer. The resealable bag is selectively positionable between an open, unsealed position and a closed, sealed position. When the resealable bag is in the closed, sealed position, the resealing layer is in a deformed shape. Advantageously, the resealable bag can be repeatedly rolled and sealed, and unrolled and unsealed, as desired without the use of additional integrated or non-integrated sealing mechanisms.
Bio-Degradable Container
Biodegradable bottle cap is a water bottle cap containing the plastic eating fungus pestalotiopsismicrosporia. When the consumer is done drinking from the bottle, the cap has a tab that is pulled and this tab releases the fungus. The fungus consumes the plastic bottle and the cap so no trace is left behind. The cap is made of plastic and the fungus is contained in an aluminum casing. Also contain in the casing is the safe food dye which will be coloring the water in case of accidental release or opening of the casing before the use of the drinking water. Such water coloring will be an indication to avoid using the water for drinking though the fungus is safe after human galloping.
Biodegradable and waterproof shaped articles based on thermoplastic starch with lower retrogradation and improved mechanical properties
The invention relates to a method for producing a biodegradable thermoplastic starch-based article intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. In this method, the semi-crystalline starch granules are transformed into a homogeneous and almost amorphous material, called thermoplastic starch, by the addition of plasticizers at high temperatures and under shear. Thermoplastic starch is modified with organic acid during melt processing to prevent the retrogradation of starch. Moreover, cellulose derivatives are used as the reinforcement filler of thermoplastic starch. The article is produced using hot-pressing and then coating by immersion in a waterproofing solution.
