Containers for particulate materials

Containers for holding particulate materials are provided. The containers may be formed from molded pulp. The containers may included molded pulp shaped or threaded features formed integrally on the container that may aid in providing closure to the device. The containers may optionally include a fitment and/or liner, or may be free of fitments and liners. The containers may optionally have inner load bearing members. The containers may be stackable.

Rolled paper product cargo assemblages and method for making rolled paper product cargo assemblages

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to cargo assemblages that may include containers of rolled products stacked on pallets in an underhung or partially underhung configuration and secured thereto with film and methods of producing such cargo assemblages. The load may include containers of absorbent paper product arranged in stacked layers from a bottom layer of containers to a top layer of containers. The load and the pallet are sized such that the load defines a footprint that is smaller, at least in some portions, than a footprint of the pallet to create an underhung or partially underhung configuration. A film may be applied to connect the load with the pallet and to connect neighboring stacked layers together. The film may be wrapped around the pallet and/or layers of containers with a wrap profile having different characteristics, such as for example, containment forces; tensions; numbers of layers, and/or locations of layers with respect to the load, the pallet, and/or each other.

MODULAR CARGO SYSTEM
20220097907 · 2022-03-31 ·

A system for palletizing cargo includes a number of components that may be combined to produce an assembled pallet of cargo. A pallet base provides a cargo area where a payload may be stacked. The pallet base includes protective features such as feet that raise the payload above surface level, bumpers that prevent and absorb impacts to the pallet base, and a rim that encircles the cargo area. A pallet top is placed on top of the payload, opposite the pallet base, and a set of straps are used to connect the pallet base to the pallet top and friction fit the payload therebetween. Each of the base and top include a series of holes and spacers that allow airflow to pass around the bottom and top of the payload, while the bumpers allow airflow around the sides, even when the assembled pallets are surrounded by other cargo.

Flexible container bags

A flexible bulk container comprising a top wall, a bottom wall, and at least one sidewall defining an internal space. There is an access portion associated with the top wall for accessing the internal space through an open end of the access portion, and a position marker located at a predetermined position on the access portion for detection by a detector of a robotic system. An insert for use with a flexible bulk container during folding of the flexible bulk container is also provided. The insert comprises: a head portion and a tail portion extending therefrom, the head portion having an insert upper edge and the tail portion being sized and shaped for engagement with an open end of a filling spout, and lateral spacer portions extending from the head portion, one on either side of the tail portion.

FREESTANDING FLOOR DISPLAY OF CONSUMER PRODUCTS

Disclosed are freestanding displays of packaged consumer products, particularly consumer paper products. The packaged consumer goods generally comprise one or more goods disposed in a carton, such as a folded paperboard box that is at least partially overwrapped with a film having a plurality of graphic elements disposed thereon. The graphic elements are preferably disposed on the film such that at least two panels of the resulting packages are visually similar, and two panels are visually distinct. The packages may be stacked in arrays to form a display having two more faces that are visually similar. The present freestanding display helps consumers recognize the packaged products from a distance even when displayed amongst other packaged goods in a crowded supermarket or club store.

MEASURING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PALLETIZED LOADS
20210331833 · 2021-10-28 ·

A measuring system associable with a group of products wrappable with a plastic film to form a palletized load. The system includes a supporting frame provided with a supporting plane for the group, first and second detecting modules housed inside the supporting frame and provided with first and second sensor units to detect and measure first and second physical quantities acting on the palletized load when it is moved and/or transported, a processing module having first and second computing units and first and second memory units positioned on the supporting plane, inserted among the products and having dimensions and weight comparable to that of one of the products. The first and second computing units, first and second memory units and first and second detecting modules form first and second measurement chains of the first and second physical quantities.

Pest-Repellent Pallet Slip Sheets
20210329914 · 2021-10-28 · ·

Pest-repellent pallet slip sheets for preventing or reducing rodent or pest damage to goods placed on pallets or other locations. The pest-repellent pallet slip sheets generally include slip sheets designed for placement on the top portion of a pallet, such that the slip sheet covers substantially the entire pallet. The slip sheets may be treated with repellent substance all over, randomly, or in a pattern such that a specific portion, or all, of the slip sheet is treated with the pest-repellent substance. The pattern may be produced, for example, by feeding slip sheet material past an application device at a given rate of speed, and then intermittently interrupting the application of the pest-repellent substance if an intermittent pattern is desired. A colored dye may be added to the pest-repellent substance to create a visible indication of a pattern or treated area.

Low Stress Packaging Design to Minimize Pellet Blocking

Packaging configuration comprising: a pallet comprising a top surface, a bottom surface and a height HP; a first stack of bagged goods having a total height HL 1, stacked on the pallet and comprising at least two layers; and a support structure comprising at least four walls situated over the first stack of bagged goods, one of the walls being a top wall and at least three of the walls being sidewalls. The support structure has a height HC that meets one of the following equations: HC>HL 1, when the bottom end of at least one sidewall of the support structure is positioned on the top surface of the at least one pallet; or HC>HP+HL 1, when the bottom end of at least one sidewall of the support structure and the bottom surface of the pallet are both positioned on the same surface. An air gap having a height HAG is situated between a top layer of the first stack of bagged goods and the top wall of the support structure.
