BUNDLED PRODUCT AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME

A direct-to-consumer heat shrunk bundled product made up of a plurality of paper product rolls each individually packaged by a first package material and arranged relative to one another so as to form a bundle, the bundle being packaged by a second package material, wherein a substantial portion of the inner surface of the second package material is in contact with the first package material of the plurality of paper product rolls and is nonstick relative to the first package material. The bundle includes fused end seals so that the bundle does not include open gussets that might otherwise catch on machinery during sorting and shipping.

A unitary package including a rolled tissue product and a packaged tissue product overwrapped with a packaging film. The packaged tissue product may be disposed in a folded over portion of a divider and co-packed with first and second rolled tissue in products, which differ in at least one regard, to increase the stability of the package. The rolled tissue products preferably comprise a plurality of rolled towel products having a first height and a plurality of rolled bath tissue products having a second height, where the first height is greater than the second height. The divider, packaged tissue product and first and second rolled tissue products are generally packaged together to form a cubic package.

Pack of products comprising a handle

The present invention is directed to a pack of products (1) having a bottom side (2) and an opposite top side (3), comprising a handle (5) formed over the top side (3) and adapted to be grasped by hand. The handle (5) is formed by a plastic film (4) wrapped around the products (1) over at least one turn, the plastic film (4) covering at least most of the bottom side (2) and being gathered to a reduced width over the top side (3) to form the handle (5). A handle (5) formed by a plastic film wrapped around the pack is reliable and easy to manufacture at a limited cost.

Methods of packaging products and packaging arrangements using a shrinkable protective cover to keep a graphic on a band formed, intact, and visible

A method of packaging products and a packaging arrangement. A first product unit is wrapped at least in a first protective cover. The first protective cover envelops the first product unit and creates a first wrapped first product unit. A second product is wrapped at least in a second protective cover, such that the second protective cover envelops the second product unit and creates a second wrapped second product unit. The first wrapped first product unit is arranged adjacent to the second wrapped second product unit to create a product unit arrangement. A band is formed circumferentially around the product unit arrangement to create a secured product unit arrangement. The band has at least one graphic. The secured product unit arrangement is wrapped in a protective wrapper. The protective wrapper is heated to shrink the wrapper around the secured product unit arrangement. The graphic remains intact and visible.

A process for collation shrink wrapping an object that may include a number of individual containers, preferably a number of substantially identical containers. The process may include the steps of (i) obtaining a binding tape that is a film uniaxially oriented in the machine direction (MD) and wrapping the tape around the object, (ii) sealing the ends of the now wrapped binding tape (i.e., to form a loop), (iii) obtaining a collation shrink film that may include a multimodal linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), the film being a stretched film that is uniaxially oriented in the machine direction (MD) in a draw ratio of at least 1:3, (iv) wrapping the collation shrink film around the object of step (ii), (v) heating the wrapped object of step (iv) such that the tape shrinks in its machine direction and the collation shrink film shrinks in its machine direction.
