20180170636 · 2018-06-21 ·

A packaging sheet for wrapping an article or object, providing structure around the article or object, or forming a box. The packaging sheet includes first, second, third, fourth, and fifth panels, the second panel being connected to the first panel, the third panel being connected to the first panel opposite the second panel, the fourth panel being connected to the second panel opposite the first panel, and the fifth panel being connected to the third panel opposite the first panel. The packaging sheet also includes first, second, third, and fourth flaps connected to the first, second, third and fourth panels, respectively. In some embodiments, a first edge is defined between the third and fifth panels so that the fifth panel is adjoined to the third panel along the first edge, and the fifth panel defines second and third edges along which no flaps are adjoined.

Flexible containers and methods of forming the same

A method for sealing and cutting of a flexible material for forming a flexible container comprising a product volume and at least one structural support volume can include feeding at least two flexible material into a sealing apparatus comprising a sealing surface and an opposed anvil surface; contacting a seam region of the at least two flexible material with the sealing surface to form a seal in the seam region and cut the seal to form a seam in a single unit operation. The seal defines one or both of at least a portion of a boundary of the product volume and at least a portion of a boundary of the at least one structural support volume.

Water-soluble packets

The disclosure provides a water soluble pouch including at least two sealed compartments, the pouch including outer walls including water soluble film including a water soluble resin, and an inner wall including water soluble film including a water soluble resin, the outer wall films being sealed to the inner wall film, the outer wall films being characterized by: a dissolution time of 300 seconds or less, the water soluble resin of the outer wall films having a viscosity in a range of 14.5 cP to 25 cP, and a pouch strength of at least 200 N, and the inner wall film being characterized by: a dissolution time of 300 seconds or less, the water soluble resin of the inner film having viscosity in a range of 12 cP to 14.5 cP, and a tackiness value of at least 1500 g/s.

STAND-UP PLASTIC STORAGE BAG

A storage bag includes first and second sidewalls having a top edge, a top portion, and a bottom portion. The bottom portion of the first sidewall includes at least one shift region about which the bag is capable of shifting. The shift region includes a score line, an indentation, or a crimp formed into the first sidewall. The top portions of the sidewalls include a cuff region includes a textured patterned band to provide a visual cue to a user as to where to fold and to cuff the bag. The bag shifts between (i) a flat configuration with the sidewalls positioned adjacent to each other, and (ii) a stand-up configuration with the sidewalls separated from each other. In the stand-up configuration, the bag has a substantially flat base. The cuff region can be shifted to a cuffed position with the cuff region forming the opening to the bag.

In the stand-up configuration, the bag has a substantially flat base. The bag also can be shifted to a cuffed position with the bag being folded over the cuff line of each of the sidewalls such that the cuff region forms an opening to the bag.

Stand-up plastic storage bag

A storage bag includes a first sidewall having a top edge and a bottom edge, and a plurality of shift regions about which the bag is capable of shifting. At least one of the shift regions includes one of a score line, an indentation, and a crimp formed into the first sidewall, and extends a distance along the first sidewall starting from near the bottom edge of the first sidewall. A second sidewall is connected to the first sidewall so as to form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior and having a top edge and a bottom edge. At least one of the shift regions of the first and second sidewalls extends across and intersects with another of the shift regions of the first and second sidewalls, to facilitate shifting of the bag. The bag shifts between a flat configuration, and a stand-up configuration.
