MOVING FARMED AQUATIC ANIMALS
20220201988 · 2022-06-30 ·

A method of moving farmed aquatic animals from a tank containing the animals, the tank having a tank outlet and a conveyance pipe, the conveyance pipe having a conveyance pipe inlet connected to the tank outlet and a conveyance pipe outlet at an outlet elevation higher than the tank outlet, the method comprising: (i) by means of a water inflow into the tank, maintaining a water level in the tank at a level above the outlet elevation to generate a flow of water from the tank through the conveyance pipe while positioning a moveable water-permeable screen inside the tank to crowd the animals towards the tank outlet, (ii) by means of the flow of water therethrough, moving animals through the conveyance pipe.

Feedback feeding system for pond recirculation with fusion of machine vision and infrared detection

Disclosed is a feedback feeding system pond recirculation with fusion of machine vision and infrared detection. Feeding strategies are provided according to the feeding behavior of fish in cooperative with machine vision technology and infrared sensing technology. The pond recirculating aquaculture is an open environment. The change of natural environment may affect the feedback signal of the fish feeding behavior provided by the machine vision due to the low visibility; or it may affect the feedback signal of the fish feeding behavior provided by the infrared detection because low temperature may decrease feeding intensity. The fusion of these two strategies can solve the problem of intelligent feeding strategies in the pond recirculating aquaculture mode.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HANDLING FARMED AQUATIC ANIMALS

A screen for a fluid tank, the screen comprising: at least one expandable screen section configured to be positioned on a fluid tank to permit movement of the at least one expandable screen section relative thereto, wherein the at least one expandable screen section is configurable between an expanded state and a contracted state. There is also provided a tank having a screen arranged vertically movable therein and a method for moving aquatic animals out of a tank, the method comprising: arranging the at least one expandable screen section in or on the tank in the contracted state; bringing the at least one expandable screen section to the expanded state; and moving the screen relative to the tank to crowd the animals towards an outlet in the tank.

DEVICE FOR MEASURING HEAVY METALS HAVING ELECTRODE ELEMENT

Provided herein is a device for measuring heavy metals having an electrode element and, most particularly, a device for measuring heavy metals having an electrode element including a device for measuring heavy metals having an electrode element including a substrate having a wireless communication electrode for wirelessly delivering an electrical variance that is measured from an electrode, when measuring heavy metals, an electrode element delivering an electrical signal for measuring heavy metals, and a controller controlling electric current application to the electrode element and detecting a quantity of electricity between electrodes being measured from a measurement object contaminated by heavy metal, or calculating a displacement between a reference quantity of electricity and a measured quantity of electricity.

Sea lice detection device and method for detection of sea lice
20220180508 · 2022-06-09 ·

The invention relates to a system and method that enables the capture of high contrast images of sea lice contaminated fish. The system comprises a light emitting device, a 2D array detector, and a first polarisation filter, and utilizes polarised narrow bands of light in order to obtain a strong contrast between sea lice and the skin of the fish. A number of narrow bands of light are irradiated onto a fish, and the resulting reflection(s) is/are polarisation filtered before being detected. The detected light is subsequently used in order to generate a high contrast image of the fish.

CAMERA CONTROLLER FOR AQUACULTURE BEHAVIOR OBSERVATION
20220167596 · 2022-06-02 ·

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for controlling a camera to observe aquaculture feeding behavior. In some implementations, a method includes moving a camera to a first position, obtaining an image captured by the camera at the first position, determining a feeding observation mode, and based on the feeding observation mode and analysis of the image, determining a second position to move the camera.

SEA LICE MITIGATION BASED ON HISTORICAL OBSERVATIONS

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for sea lice mitigation. In some implementations, a method includes generating (i) a first record for a first fish indicating an extent of sea lice infestation for the first fish at a first time and (ii) a second record, different than the first record, for a second fish, different than the first fish, indicating an extent of sea lice infestation for the second fish at the first time; and training, based at least in part on the first record and the second record, a model that determines, given one or more input records for a third fish, whether the third fish is likely to be healthy at a second time subsequent to the first time.
