Horizontal bait tube
A system is provided that promotes ram ventilation for aquatic animals stored therein. The system includes a horizontally oriented container that maintains fluid flow in one predominant direction with a first end of the horizontally oriented container receiving a first volume of fluid and a second end expelling a second volume of fluid. The second end is provided at an opposite side of the horizontally oriented container than the first end. A slot is provided that extends along a lengthwise direction of the horizontally oriented container between the first and second ends. The slot is positioned along an upper portion of the horizontally oriented container. For example, if the horizontally oriented container is tube-shaped, the slot is provided at an uppermost point on the circumference of a horizontally oriented tube directly across from a point on the tube that contacts an underlying surface such a transom of the fishing vessel.
Scalable Aquaculture and Hydroponic (Aquaponics) Production Systems
An aquaponics system utilizing_portable hydroponic growing apparatus suspended over an aquatic holding vessel. The vessel is filled with water and stocked with aquatic organisms. A pump of sufficient lift connects to plumbing which runs over the top of the portable hydroponic apparatus. The hydroponics apparatus are suspended directly over the water vessel in such a way that the water drips back into the holding vessel below. Drip rate control emitters maybe installed to regulate the flow of water from the pump. This embodiment works well for low to medium intensity production. For higher intensity production, dedicated filtration and aeration devices are added.
Containment system for aquatic animals
A system for displaying aquatic animals in a retail environment includes a base having a plurality of shelves, and a plurality of removable containment elements disposed on the shelves, each of the containment elements including a bottom, a top, and side walls extending between the top and the bottom to enclose a volume of water. At least one of the side walls defines a flat side viewing panel for viewing an aquatic animal inside of the containment element. Each of the containment elements is a rectangular-shaped that is sized to contain a salable number of aquatic animals.
System and method for feeding gas into liquid
Disclosed are a system and a method for dissolving water-soluble gas such as oxygen into water, employing microporous membrane.
Apparatus for live bait aeration
An assembly for gently aerating a live bait tank using a portable air compressor as an air flow source, the assembly comprising an air diffusion end and air source connection end, the ends separated by a length of tubing for providing air from an air source to the diffusion end wherein the diffusion end is removably submerged in the live bait tank and the air source connection end is configured for removably coupling to a source of forced air.
Method and device for the reversible adsorption of carbon dioxide
The present invention relates to a device for the reversible adsorption of carbon dioxide from a gas mixture, comprising at least one adsorbent vessel comprising one or a plurality of gas permeable cartridge vessels of an inert and dimensionally stable material, and each cartridge comprising a suitable polymeric particular adsorbent having a primary amino functionality; to an arrangement including the device, and to a method for ad- and desorption of carbon dioxide.
Aquaculture systems and methods
An aquaculture system can include stacked growth trays. Animals, such as shrimp, can be transferred between the growth trays for different stages of growth. Waste water can be removed from the growth trays and can be processed by a water treatment system. Treated water can be returned to the growth trays. A valve in a first configuration can permit water to circulate through the growth tray, while impeding the animals from exiting the growth tray. In a second configuration, the valve can permit the animals to exit the growth tray, such as for transition to a subsequent growth tray. A sweeper system can be used for cleaning and/or mixing the water in the growth tray, and/or for pushing the animals out of the growth tray during a transition.
COMPOSITION AND METHODS FOR GENERATING AND SUSTAINING MOLECULAR HYDROGEN (H2) IN AQUEOUS SYSTEMS
Provided are compositions, methods, and solutions for generating aqueous glucomannan solutions with hydrogen compositions greater than 100 parts per billion. Said glucomannan solutions have application in nutritional, therapeutic, and energy fields.
Systems and methods of intensive recirculating aquaculture
Systems and methods for intensive recirculating aquaculture are provided herein. An example system includes water sourced from a first segment of a saline aquifer, a recirculating aquaculture system receiving the sourced water and producing discharge water, and a water discharge point located within second segment of the saline aquifer disposed below the first segment of the saline aquifer.
System and method for solar greenhouse aquaponics and black soldier fly composter and auto fish feeder
An aquaponics and greenhouse system, includes an insulated solar greenhouse with a glazing on a sun facing side at an angle to maximize winter sunlight, and housing a fish tank housed within the solar greenhouse; a plant growing area housed within the solar greenhouse; a mushroom growing area housed within the solar greenhouse; a water wall thermal mass housed within the solar greenhouse and disposed between the plant growing area and mushroom growing area; and a natural air ventilation system housed within the solar greenhouse and configured to provide misted air into the mushroom growing area. O2 generated by the plant growing area is received by the natural air ventilation system and provided to the mushroom growing area, and CO2 generated by the mushroom growing area is provided to the plant growing area.
