POUCH, LIDDED CONTAINER, AND TUBE
A first packaging material includes at least one layer located in both a first region and a second region. A second packaging material includes at least one layer located in both the first region and the second region. The hole includes a proximate position where the distance between the hole and the outer edge of the pouch in a center-of-gravity direction is shortest, the center-of-gravity direction being a direction in which a center-of-gravity line passing through the center of the pouch and the center of the hole extends. A communication part is connected with the hole at a position that is spaced apart from the proximate position in a direction orthogonal to the center-of-gravity direction. The outline of the communication part that extends from the hole to the outer edge includes a first line and a second line. The first line is located closer to the proximate position than is the second line. In the center-of-gravity direction, the distance from a first connection point to the outer edge is greater than the distance from the proximate position to the outer edge, the first connection point being a point where the first line is connected with the hole.
PRESSURIZED TUBE SEALING FOR CONTAINERS
A sealed plastic container having an airtight chamber. The container includes an elongated body portion having at least one opening and at least one enclosure portion welded to the opening of the body portion, thereby hermetically sealing the chamber. The chamber may have a pressure above atmospheric pressure. The enclosure portion and the body portion may be biodegradable.
SEPARATING LAYER FOR THE TRANSPORT OF PHARMACEUTICAL SECONDARY PACKAGINGS
A separating layer for the transport of pharmaceutical secondary packagings and to a transport system for transporting pharmaceutical secondary packagings which comprises the separating layer are provided. The separating layer is a polymer layer having a planar section extending in an axial direction along a longitudinal axis and an elevation extending normal to the longitudinal axis. The separating layer has in the axial direction a normal spring force that is 0.2 to 5 N.
Multi-Layer Products
A method of making a multi-layer product or seal is described. An adhesive layer is applied to a surface of a first layer. A patch material is applied to a surface of the adhesive layer, using a coating or spraying process, to define one or more patches. At least the first layer is cut to define pre-formed lines of separation defining one or more first portions. Each first portion is associated with a respective one of the one or more patches.
RESEALABLE PACKAGING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING FOOD PRODUCT
A packaging device incorporating a breathable peel/reseal film and enabling a preservation process for allowing for the distribution, storage and multiple servings of a food product, particularly perishable food product(s), and initiating and controlling the transmission rates, respiration rates or deterioration of the perishable food product(s) and thereby, maintaining good internal and external food quality and normal development of flavor and aroma characteristics. The packaging device includes a plurality of atmospheric control attributes that modulates or controls the atmosphere within the packaging device as the food product(s) respire in order to promote the extended shelf-life of the food product and the maintenance of the quality and desirable marketable characteristics of the food product. The atmospheric control attributes can include perforations that may be positioned in breathable peel/reseal film portion of the package to allow the product respiration for multiple servings without substantially altering the shelf life extension properties of the packaging device.
Packaging for medical containers
Packaging for medical containers, including a tub having a peripheral wall, a sealing cover sealable on an opening of the tub and a sealing envelope able to protect the sealing cover. The sealing envelope includes: a lower sealing part, having a frame able to be sealed to the peripheral wall of the tub, and a bonding surface that extends outwards from the frame, and an upper sealing part sealed on the bonding surface to enclose the opening of the tub and the sealing cover.
Food product packaging
Food products can be stored and sold in packaging. For example, a perishable food product can be stored in a first compartment of a packaging, and a second food product can be stored in a second compartment. The first compartment can include a modified atmosphere to increase the shelf life of the food product in the first compartment. The second compartment can be under normal atmosphere. This allows a more perishable food product to be stored in the first compartment, and a prepackaged, or otherwise less perishable food product to be separately stored in the second compartment, while extending the shelf life of the food products. The first product could be a sandwich, and the second product be one or more condiments for the sandwich.
Stress-absorbing buffer zone for sealed tray
A package includes a tray and a cover configured to seal an open end of the tray when the cover is assembled onto the tray. The tray has a flange extending about a periphery at the open end of the tray. A continuous barrier seal is formed between the flange and the cover when the cover is assembled onto the tray, and a discontinuous sacrificial seal is also formed between the flange and the cover when the cover is assembled onto the tray. The discontinuous sacrificial seal is configured to absorb stress applied to the flange. The continuous barrier seal is disposed closer to an inner periphery of the flange than the discontinuous sacrificial seal. Holes are formed on the corners of the flange, and the holes are spaced apart from the discontinuous sacrificial seal.
DEGRADABLE CONTAINMENT FEATURES
A degradable containment includes an outer structural layer constructed of a pulp material, a central carrier layer constructed of a biopolymer, and an interior nanomaterial layer constructed of a nanomaterial.
Egg Carton with Separate Base and Lid Configurations and Moisture Venting
A rectangular perimeter egg carton comprising: a lid, and a base separate from the lid, wherein the lid and base are assembled together to from a closed egg carton, the base having a top wall and a rectangular array of recessed base cells arranged in rows and columns depending from the top wall, each base cell having an open top end, a sidewall and a closed bottom wall and being sized and shaped to hold one egg in a generally upright position with the long axis of the egg disposed in a vertical direction transverse to a base reference plane in which the bottom walls of the base cells reside; the base and lid having respective mating rectangular perimeter edges, including opposing front and rear side edges and opposing left and right side edges, that mate with each other in a closed position to from the rectangular perimeter egg carton for enclosing an egg in each of the respective cells; and a plurality of spaced apart venting ports formed in each of the perimeter side edges of one or more of the base and lid perimeters for releasing moisture from the closed egg carton.
