Water quality purification device, water purifier and aquarium using the same
Provided are a water quality purification device, and a water purifier and an aquarium that use the water quality purification device. The water quality purification device includes a component filled with a micro-electrolysis catalyst and a biological filtration component that are connected in series. By utilizing a micro-electrolysis technology, pollutants in water are preprocessed and the biodegradability of the water is improved. A water body processed by the micro-electrolysis catalyst enters the biological filtration component, which can greatly improve the purification efficiency of the biological filter bed. Working together with an adsorption electrode, this structure can effectively stabilize the water quality in the aquarium and greatly reduce the required times of changing water.
AQUARIUM OR TERRARIUM
An aquarium or terrarium (7) with a gravel and/or sand layer (6) arranged in the aquarium or terrarium (7), at least having a base element (4) which is arranged at a distance from the base of the aquarium or terrarium (7). The at least one base element (4) is used as a support for the sand and/or gravel layer (6) in that the sand and/or gravel is rigidly connected to the respective base element (4).
METHOD OF INCREASING OXYGEN LEVELS IN AQUACULTURE
A method of increasing oxygen levels in aquaculture involves pumping water from a body of water into a temporary holding tank and storing air under pressure in a storage vessel. The method involves enriching a stream of pressurized air from the air storage vessel by the introduction of oxygen from a downstream source of oxygen and directing the oxygen enriched stream of pressurized air into water drawn from the temporary water holding tank. The method then involves passing the oxygen enriched stream of pressurized air and water through at least one mixer, whereby a mixing of the oxygen enriched stream of air into the water occurs to create oxygenated water. The oxygenated water in then introduced into water used for aquaculture at an aquaculture facility.
Pedicure, manicure, and massage spa water treatment system
A pedicure, manicure, and massage spa water treatment system is disclosed. The pedicure, manicure, and massage spa water treatment system provides a container for containing spa treatment water and multiple fish, a spa water treatment container having a first spa water treatment section hydraulically connected to the container and a second spa water treatment section hydraulically connected to both the container and the first spa water treatment section. The spa treatment water hydraulically and sequentially flows from the container to the first spa water treatment section, to the second spa water treatment section, and subsequently to the container. The spa treatment water hydraulically flows from the container through a filtering device prior to hydraulic introduction to the first spa water treatment section and forming filtered spa treatment water.
Aquarium housing for viewing aquatic life including systems and methods associated therewith
An aquarium structure for the housing and display of aquatic life, particularly jellyfish, adapted to provide a beneficial flow of fluid within it, such as a rising or suspending current. The aquarium structure includes a bottom surface, at least one sidewall, and a barrier disposed within in spaced apart relation to the bottom surface by a predetermined distance to form a gap therebetween. In preferred embodiments, the aquarium structure includes an air pump and also, is generally cylindrical in shape and disposed vertically along its major axis, to offer a wide area for viewing aquatic life within, and yet a relatively small and compact aquarium housing suitable for desktop use, although the invention may have other sizes and configurations. The aquarium housing can also include a lighting assembly disposed below the viewing area and configured to direct illumination therein and in some embodiments onto other surfaces above the aquarium housing.
PURIFICATION METHOD FOR WATER, PURIFICATION DEVICE FOR WATER, AND USE OF SAID PURIFICATION DEVICE AT LOW WATER TEMPERATURE
Provided is a purification method for water to be used for culture of an aquatic organism, wherein the method includes a nitrification step of oxidizing ammonia to nitric acid using a nitrifying bacterium adhering to a base material containing an alkaline earth metal, and a denitrification step of reducing nitric acid to nitrogen using a denitrifying bacterium adhering to a base material containing a biodegradable resin which has a structural unit derived from dicarboxylic acid.
Skimmer assembly for ponds and water features
An easy to install and fish safe skimmer assembly for ponds and other water features is provided. The skimmer assembly includes a skimmer housing having an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is substantially open and in fluid communication with the water feature in a manner such that fish in the water feature can swim in and out of the upper portion of the skimmer housing without being trapped by a physical barrier. The lower portion is enclosed and is in fluid communication with a conduit for transporting filtered water back into the water feature. The skimmer assembly further includes a barrier that separates water within the skimmer, a debris collector, and a floating weir disposed in the debris collector and moves in a vertical direction relative to the skimmer housing when a suction force is applied to force water to flow through the skimmer housing.
System for the treatment and recirculation of freshwater or saltwater to restore water quality to optimum levels in fish farming cages
A water treatment and recirculation system includes means to transport water flows at required pressures, a mechanical filter of approximately 100 microns to capture coarse particles, oxygen production means, autonomous electricity generation means, and variable control means using a PLC that administers parameters such as pressure, oxygen and CO.sub.2 levels, flows, pH, etc. The system also includes means to ultrafilter and remove particles of up to 0.02 microns, the purpose being removing organic material macromolecules, disinfecting bacteria and viruses with mechanical removal, and eliminate harmful contaminants such as ammonia, degasifying means to eliminate CO.sub.2 with a multitubular exchanger with membranes made of hydrophobic materials and micro perforations to take CO.sub.2 away to an extraction gas in atmospheric or vacuum conditions; and means to oxygenate water with a multitubular exchanger having membranes constituted by hydrophobic materials and microperforations that inject O.sub.2 into water of a gas under atmospheric conditions.
FILTER APPARATUS AND METHOD
The present disclosure relates to a filter apparatus (1) for mechanically filtering a liquid (W). The filter apparatus (1) includes a filter chamber (5) for containing a plurality of filter elements (7) that form a filter pack (29) for filtering the liquid.
