SYSTEM FOR TRANSPORTING FRAGILE OBJECTS
According to certain embodiments, a system for transporting fragile objects includes an outer box and an inner box. The outer box is suspended within the inner box by one or more vibration isolators. The inner box includes a mounting system adapted to facilitate mounting one or more objects within the inner box.
Airbag with a hammock
Disclosed is an airbag having an upstanding wall defining an inner volume of a bag. The upstanding wall having an upper perimeter defining the opening of the bag. A web having a body and a perimeter around the body. The perimeter of the web bonded with the upper perimeter of the upstanding wall, wherein the body can be received into the inner volume of the bag forming an inner pouch, wherein the depth of the inner pouch inside the bag is less than the depth of the inner volume of the bag.

Heat sealed packaging assemblies and methods of producing and using the same
A packaging device can include a resilient member formed of one or more layers of different materials and a frame member. The resilient member can be heat sealed to the frame member or to a coating on the surface of the frame member. The layers can be made from different materials or the same materials having different thicknesses, modules of elasticity, melting index, or other different characteristics.
Shipping container
A shipping container is disclosed having a body wherein a cavity is formed, a lid adapted to close a top of the body and a support configured as a gimbal. The gimbal support has an outer cage configured to be fitted in the cavity and sized so as to contact the walls of the cavity, an inner cage restrained to the outer cage and rotatable relative thereto about at least one first rotation axis (A) and a cradle restrained to the inner cage and rotatable relative to the outer cage about at least one second rotation axis (B) perpendicular to the first rotation axis (A), the cradle being configured to receive and hold one or more objects.

RETENTION PACKAGING ASSEMBLY
A retention packaging assembly (100, 200, 300, 400) includes a frame (100) and sheet assemblies (200, 300). The frame includes a central panel (102), end panels (104), and two sets of wing panels (108, 110). Each set of wing panels includes wing panels foldably coupled to the central panel and to one of the two end panels. The sheet assemblies include a sheet (208) that is attached at its ends to slot panels (204, 206, 304, 306). The slot panels of each of the sheet assemblies are selectively couplable to one of the set of wing panels. After an object is placed on a front of the central panel, the sheets of the sheet assemblies are located over the sides of the object. The sets of wing panels can then be folded to a back of the frame to cause the sheets to retain the sides of the object to the central panel.
Suspension apparatus for suspending an item
In one general embodiment, an apparatus includes a base having a face and back, a center section, and a foldable section extending from the center section. The apparatus further includes a perforated sheet extending along the face of the base, members extending from the foldable section for engaging perforations of the perforated sheet, and the foldable section being positioned to apply tension to the perforated sheet upon folding of the foldable section toward the back of the base.

Integrated banana packing, transportation, and commercialization system
A packaging and container system addresses the different needs for packaging bananas, transporting the bananas, and displaying the bananas for sale, all in the same container. The system uses a box or box frame, and at least one perimeter wall that is an independent piece. A film (e.g. plastic sheet) is used to suspend the bananas inside the box during transport to prevent or reduce friction or rubbing between bananas and between the bananas and the sides of the container. Once packed, the box can rotated to its transport position where the bananas are suspended within the film inside the container. Once at the retail location, the container can again be laid on a side and a perimeter wall removed to expose and display the bananas.
