11679919 · 2023-06-20 · ·

A packing material including a strip of corrugated cellulosic material and a method of packing an object in a shipping box using the packing material. The strip of corrugated cellulosic material includes a plurality of macro flutes and is moveable between an expanded state and a compressed state. The strip of corrugated cellulosic material is in the compressed state when a compression force is applied to the strip of corrugated cellulosic material in the longitudinal direction and in the expanded state when the compression force is removed. The length of the strip of corrugated cellulosic material is longer in the expanded state than the compressed state.

Shipping System for Shipping Glass Sheets

A shipping system for shipping planar substrates includes a plurality of planar substrates stacked to form a pack and a plurality of interleaving material including substantially spherical beads positioned between the substrates of the pack and configured to carry a load. Substantially all of the beads have a diameter within 25% of D.sub.max, where D.sub.max is a diameter corresponding to a size of an opening of an upper limit sieve used in the shipping system. Also disclosed are a spacer for use in a shipping system for shipping planar substrates, a wrapped system for shipping planar substrates, a method of wrapping a system for shipping planar substrates, and a powder applicator.

A strap-based variable modular cushioning material for being tied on an object includes at least one strap and at least one block. The strap is formed with a plurality of through holes and can be wound around the object. The block is mad of elastic material, has at least one side concavely formed with a groove, and can deform and be inserted into at least one of the through holes of the strap to couple the block with the strap. When the block and the strap are coupled together, the inner wall of the through hole corresponds to the groove in position, and a top portion and a bottom portion of the block are exposed from the strap. When the strap is coupled with a plurality of blocks, each two adjacent blocks are separate from each other by a distance.
