A multipurpose compostable absorption mat serves to receive and encapsulate organic matter for compostable disintegration of the mat and organic matter simultaneously. The mat comprises at least three portions: a first portion facing the organic matter defined by a parchment paper or parchment-like material having multiple pinholes or other openings or porosity sized and dimensioned to enable passage of greases and/or liquids; a second portion outboard of the first portion defined by a deliquescent material, and is able to absorb the greases and/or liquids from the first portion through a capillary mechanism; and a third portion outboard of the second portion defined by an impermeable plant/corn starch-based plastic-like material. The third portion looks and feels like plastic film. The at least three portions of the mat may be formed as at least three discrete layers, with the three discrete layers attached to one another so as to form the mat, with the mat having a thickness in the range from about that of a sheet of paper or a paper towel or a napkin to about ¾″ or more.

TRANSFER ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEM FOR AQUACULTURE
20210127646 · 2021-05-06 ·

A system for transferring marine life within an aquaculture facility including a plurality of segregated storage facilities each containing water for marine life, maintained within a predetermined temperature range and supported at independent ground levels. The storage facilities are successively disposed and structured to contain marine life at different stages of growth. A transfer assembly includes a path of fluid flow interconnecting successive ones of said plurality of storage facilities in fluid communication with one another, wherein at least a majority of a length of said path of fluid flow is disposed beneath the independent ground levels at a predetermined depth, which is sufficient to facilitate maintenance of the path of fluid flow within the predetermined temperature range, via geothermal cooling.

POND FILTER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE POND FILTER
20210101816 · 2021-04-08 ·

A pond filter unit and a method for operating a pond filter unit is provided. A control unit controls the operation of the pond filter unit, including the cleaning cycle of the filter. The pond filter unit further includes one or more plugs for connecting one or more auxiliary devices, such as a separate pump, one or more additional pond filter units, illumination means/lamps, air pumps, and/or feed automats. The control unit of the pond filter further controls the one or more auxiliary devices connected to the plugs, such as pumps, air pumps, automatic feeding devices based on input settings for each of the one or more auxiliary devices. The control unit further controls the cleaning cycle for cleaning of the filter in the vessel.

There is also provided a method for operating a fish farm having at least one land-based fish tank.

Aquarium with wireless lighting
10912286 · 2021-02-09 · ·

An aquarium has wireless lighting which is configured to turn on a lighting device provided inside the aquarium and vertically move the lighting device in water by a wireless magnetic resonance method. Therefore, a light that can be maintained in a submerged state may be provided, thereby providing better aesthetic effects than existing lights of aquariums. In addition, additional devices such as a filter can be moved in water by using a magnetic field, thereby improving functional effects.

RECIRCULATING AQUACULTURE SYSTEM FOR SHRIMP CULTURE THROUGH SBR WASTEWATER TREATMENT

The present invention discloses a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) and method for shrimp culture through SBR wastewater treatment. The RAS includes a control cabinet, culture tanks, a clean water tank, a clean water filling pipeline, a drainage pipeline, a buried activated sludge tank and a solid-liquid separation mechanism. The solid-liquid separation mechanism comprises a sludge pump, an input pipe, a plate and frame type filter press and a liquid output pipe. An input end of the sludge pump is immersed in sewage of the buried activated sludge tank; and a clean water output end of the plate and frame type filter press is connected with the buried activated sludge tank through the liquid output pipe.

METHOD FOR NR RADIO LINK MONITORING (RLM) AND EVALUATION PERIOD DETERMINATION
20230416132 · 2023-12-28 ·

Methods are proposed to define UE behavior for performing synchronization signal block (SSB) based radio link monitoring (RLM) and channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) based RLM. In a first novel aspect, if CSI-RS based RLM-RS is not QCLed to any CORESET, then UE determines that CSI-RS RLM configuration is error and does not perform RLM accordingly. In a second novel aspect, SSB for RLM and RLM CSI-RS resources are configured with different numerologies. UE perform SSB based RLM and CSI-RS based RLM based on whether the SSB and CSI-RS resources are TDMed configured by the network. In a third novel aspect, when multiple SMTC configurations are configured to UE, UE determines an SMTC period and whether SMTC and RLM-RS are overlapped for the purpose of RLM evaluation period determination.
