FOOD CONTAINER WITH VENTS ON HANDLES
A food container with vents on handles includes a box and a cover. The box includes a box wall and a receiving room. Two opposite sides of the box wall are provided with a pair of handle portions. Each handle portion is extended with a bent section from the box wall toward a direction which is bent away from the receiving room. An upper portion of each bent section is formed with a venting space communicating with the receiving room. The cover is removably fastened to the box to cloak the receiving room and includes a cover plate, a pair of handle lids and sliding seals. The handle lids can be fixed to the handle portions to cover the venting space. Each handle lid is provided with vents. The sliding seals are separately disposed in the handle lids to be capable of selectively cloaking the vents.
Tray table trays
Trays for tray tables that prevent liquid spilled on a top surface of the trays from spreading over edges of the trays. A casing having a top surface with at least one aperture through the top surface, a receptacle within the casing positioned below the aperture in the top surface configured to receive an absorbent pad that can be removably positioned in the receptacle below the aperture to be in communication with the top surface of the tray. Spilled liquids can be guided toward the aperture in the top surface and absorbed in the absorbent pad within the casing. The absorbent pad may be a superabsorbent material. The top surface can have a superhydrophobic coating.
VENTILATED CONTAINER FOR PRODUCE
A ventilated container for produce includes a bottom, sidewalls extending upwardly from the bottom, and a rim having a flattened top surface. The sidewalls include at least one ventilation opening located proximate the rim of the container thereby permitting the rim of the container to be generally flat and uninterrupted. The location of ventilation opening(s) proximate the rim of the container allows the flow of rising ethylene gas within the container to exit near the top of the container improving ventilation within the container. A plastic film can be applied over the top of the container and is adhered to the container with an adhesive to form a secure and rigid seal between the film and the container. The flattened surface of the rim improves the adherence between a film and the container to enclose and seal the container, aids the rigidity of the container, and lessens the likelihood of the edges of the rim being bent or folded when pressure is exerted to protect produce provided within the container. Moreover, an aperture on the bottom of the container provides drainage of liquid from the container and allow air to flow.
Transport and storage container with drainage openings
The invention relates to a transport and storage container (1) for keeping and transporting goods, with a base plate (2) and side walls (3a-3d) which extend perpendicularly from the base plate (2) and together form a peripheral upper container edge (4), at least two side walls (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) preferably arranged opposite one another in the transport and storage container (1) have a plurality of drainage openings (5) for liquids at least in the area proximal to the base plate (2), and the drainage openings (5) are covered on the outside by means of at least one outer cover (6), preferably a continuous outer cover (6).
Three-dimensional film sealing
Described is an assembly (1) comprising a wall element (2), defining a circumferential bonding strip (3) running over the wall element, and a flexible flat film connected to the bonding strip with a continuous circumferential bonding (4), which wall element and film define two opposite walls (2a, 5a) of a chamber (5), characterized in that the wall element further comprises a base plane B defined by the wall element, at least two corner elements (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) positioned on a distance to one another, which extend substantially perpendicular with a height H (Ha, Hb, Hc, Hd) in the same direction from the base plane of the wall element, each corner element defining an angle A (Aa, Ab, Ac, Ad) of the chamber with an angle line which is substantially perpendicular to the base plane, strip sections (7a, 7b, 7c, 7d), each connecting two corner elements that define adjacent corners of the chamber to one another, the distance between the strip sections and the base plane being less than H, wherein the continuous circumferential bonding strip runs over the strip sections and over the corner elements and at least in the area of the corner elements at a distance from the base surface corresponding to height H (Ha, Hb, Hc, Hd), and wherein the outer contour of the film is shaped in such a way that the outer contour of the film corresponds to that of the circumferential bonding strip. A method for the production of such an assembly is also described.
CONTROLLED MOISTURE TRANSPORT PACKAGING FOR FRESH PRODUCE
A fresh produce package includes a laminated polymer film having water transport windows that impart a limited, controlled water vapor transport rate (MVTR), thereby avoiding produce desiccation, while also avoiding excess moisture pooling. The film comprises a low MVTR layer, such as heat-sealable PET, laminated to a high MVTR layer, such as nylon, PLA, or cellulose. The film includes lamination gaps, for example created using an adhesive spray-blocking mask or an adhesive-applying roller with insets. A cutting device, such as a laser or die-cutter, forms moisture transport windows (MTWs) by cutting out panels of the low MVTR layer in the gaps while leaving the high MVTR layer in place. Container seams can be formed by heat sealing of the low MVTR layer to itself, or to an underlying tray. The film can be gas-impermeable, and can include microperforations to establish a modified gas atmosphere within the package.
REUSABLE FOLDABLE DRINKING STRAW IN STORAGE CASE
A reusable drinking straw that is foldable into a compact configuration for storage and easily transportable in a storage case. The straw comprises a rigid external tube and a flexible internal tubing that is foldable to a compact configuration for storage. In a folded configuration, the reusable straw has a significantly reduced length of approximately one-half to one-fourth of its extended length when in use. The external tube of the straw is preferably formed of multiple rigid segments for supporting the flexible internal tubing in the extended configuration during use as a drinking straw. A simple cleaning device is provided to clean the straw after use. A storage case is provided to store the straw in the folded configuration in a compact form and to store the cleaning device.
PRESERVING CAN WITH A LIQUID DRAINAGE OPENING
A preserving can including a tubular body having two opposite ends closed respectively by a lower lid and an upper lid, the upper lid having a removable upper part having a surface area at least greater than 90% of a surface area of the upper lid in order to be able to empty food from the can, and the lower lid having a removable lower part delimited by a lower rupture starter line and provided with a lower opening member, the removable lower part having at least one long and linear main section having a width with a value of less than or equal to 3 millimetres and a length having a value of greater than or equal to 10 millimetres, in order to be able to drain a liquid juice from the can prior to emptying food therefrom.
Cooking Device and Method
A method for cooking meat, the method comprising: placing the meat having exudate in a suitable vacuum sealed bag; vacuum sealing the bag; placing the bag on a rack; placing the rack in a cooking device; cooking the meat, which produces exudate; removing the rack from the cooking device and cooling the meat to a temperature which is safe for handling; and sealing the bag so as to segregate the meat from the cooked exudate, wherein the rack is adapted to support the meat in an upper section of the bag whilst allowing the exudate to fall into a lower section of the bag.
