DEHUMIDIFICATION CONTAINER
20240300723 · 2024-09-12 · ·

Storage containers include a body with a cavity and a lid having an internal space, connected at an edge to the body. A dehumidifier is within the cavity and is configured to dehumidify air within the cavity. An air stream is created and then split such that dehumidified air is returned to the cavity and wet air is expelled from the system. Electrical features such as the dehumidifier, lighting or lid actuators, are powered by a power source within said internal space. In some embodiments, the power source is a battery and a lid mounted solar panel provides an electrical charge to said battery.

The present disclosure includes an apparatus and method of use to facilitate storing, conserving and exhibition of individual fresh flowers or small individual bundles of fresh flowers.

CONTAINER FORMED FROM TWO IDENTICAL TRAYS WITH ENGAGEMENT, VENTING AND STACKING FEATURES
20240294304 · 2024-09-05 ·

A container includes trays having a substantially identical profile. For each tray, the tray includes a rim that includes a proximal segment, a bead segment, and at least one vent channel defined in the proximal segment, the bead segment has an upwardly-extending member and a downwardly-extending member, the upwardly-extending member defines a first cavity, and the downwardly-extending member defines a second cavity. When the trays are engaged to close the container, the upwardly-extending member of the first tray is received in the second cavity of the second tray, the upwardly-extending member of the second tray is received in the second cavity of the first tray, the first and second trays define an interior volume of the container, the proximal segments of the rims of the first and second trays are in face-to-face contact to substantially seal the interior volume, and each vent channel is in communication with the interior volume.

Inflatable packaging with apertures
10081457 · 2018-09-25 · ·

An inflatable packaging element is disclosed herein. The inflatable packaging element includes a first film ply and second film ply overlayed on the first ply, and a seal pattern. The seal pattern has a plurality of seals sealing the first and second plies to each other to define an inflation chamber between the first and second plies. The inflation chamber is inflatable with and configured to contain a fluid. An aperture extends through at least one of the first or second ply, and the seal pattern separates opposite side of the aperture from the inflation chamber.

MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING FOR TRANSPORTATION AND RIPENING OF BANANAS AND PLANTAINS WITH EXTENDED QUALITY PRESERVATION
20180255796 · 2018-09-13 ·

A packaging apparatus suitable for containing and transporting a specified quantity of bananas or plantains includes a vented box and a plastic bag that includes laser microperforations located in target areas separated from each other by distances greater than their largest dimensions. When the bag is placed within the box, filled with bananas or plantains, and hermetically sealed, the microperforations and box vents allow for limited transmission of gases into and out of the bag to establish a modified atmosphere within the bag, and to allow ethylene ripening of the bananas or plantains. The target areas are located at the top of the bag, and also at the bottom of the bag, so that they are not occluded when the bananas or plantains are placed within the bag with their concave sides facing down.

CONTAINER APPARATUS
20180194516 · 2018-07-12 ·

A container apparatus having at least one containment member is disclosed that may include a bottom and at least one sidewall, an interior and an open end. The container may also include a flange that extends around a free end of the at least one side wall, and a plurality of wall members (or castellations) connected to/formed with/that extend from the flange. The plurality of wall members may be separated by ventilation apertures, with the plurality of wall members and the ventilation apertures extending around the perimeter of the free end. A sealing material, such as a removable film, may extend over the open end to enclose the containment member.

Method for controlling banana and plantain quality by packaging
10010089 · 2018-07-03 · ·

This invention provides a method to control banana and plantain quality by providing packaging in laser microperforated plastic bags having registered microperforation arrays to allow for transmission of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and ethylene gases into and out. The method improves even ripening of the bananas and plantains, extends green life and yellow life of the bananas and plantains, controls dehydration and reduces crown mold and pedicle withering of packed bananas and plantains during transport and storage.

TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED STORAGE SYSTEM

The present disclosure relates to stacked, grid storage systems such as densely packed storage systems, and methods of adjusting, regulating, controlling and maintaining the temperature of storage systems.

INSULATED CONTAINER FOR AND METHOD OF COOLING A HEATED TOOLING COMPONENT
20180170654 · 2018-06-21 · ·

Disclosed is an insulated container 2 for cooling a heated tooling component 4. The insulated container 2 comprises: a housing including a thermally insulated base 6, an insulated side wall 10 and an insulated upper wall 12 which define a chamber 36 for receiving the tooling component 4; an inlet port 30 passing through the insulated base 6, the inlet port 30 allowing ambient air to enter the chamber 36; and a vent 18 passing through the insulated upper wall 12, the vent 18 allowing air heated by the heated tooling component 4 to be ejected such that a convective air flow through the chamber 36 cools the tooling component 4, wherein a flow area of the vent 18 can be varied to allow an air flow rate through the chamber 36 to be controlled. There is also disclosed a method of cooling a heated tooling component 4.

STORAGE CONTAINERS AND BINS

A container for use in a robotic storage and picking system is described. The container includes a base and four sides, at least two of the sides being provided with apertures therein to enable fluids to flow therethrough.
