Hydration bladder drying apparatus and method of manufacture
A moisture removing apparatus and method for making the moisture removing apparatus. A first material layer may be placed proximate to a second material layer. The first material layer may be wrapped around the second material layer to cover the second material layer with the first material layer. One or more edges of the first material layer may be secured to hold the second material layer within the first material layer. The apparatus, when placed in a container, may be configured to absorb moisture from the container, and may be further configured to use capillary action to remove the absorbed moisture from the container.
Food container with forced moisture removal
A method, a food container, a lid, and pad for a food container that actively removes moisture in the food container without changing the food temperature inside the container in a meaningful way are disclosed herein. The removal of moisture is achieved by introducing a cold spot (below the dew point temperature) inside the food container that forces condensation of moisture near the cold spot. The condensed moisture is then captured by an absorbent element placed below, and preferably adjacent to/collocated with, the cold spot and between the cold spot and the stored food. The cold spot is preferably achieved by a properly chosen frozen substance such as an ice cube or a frozen gel packet or ice trapped inside an absorbent pad.
CONTAINER FOR MEDICAL AND/OR PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS WITH INTERSTICE
The invention pertains to a container for storing medical and/or pharmaceutical products. The container includes a plastic container body including a side wall, a base and an opening defining the storage volume, an active insert, placed inside the container body and including a tubular side wall of length L, extending from a lower extremity to an upper extremity, and an empty interstice between the side wall of the active insert and the side wall of the container body. This container is an improved container for the storage of medical and/or pharmaceutical products.
MICROWAVABLE PACKAGES AND FOOD PRODUCTS
In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are disclosed herein useful to provide convenient, microwavable packages for cooking and crisping food products in a microwave oven are. In some embodiments, the microwavable packaged food product includes an outer package and a quantity of food product contained therein. By one approach, the package has a multilayer microwavable tray having at least three layers including a susceptor layer that includes a microwave energy interactive material thereon and a plurality of discrete openings disposed therein, an absorbent pad layer having a flexible paper-based material suitable for absorbing moisture and grease, and a paperboard base layer that provides a structure by which the susceptor layer and absorbent paper-based layer are supported. In this manner, a microwavable tray or support has at least three macro-layers including a susceptor, an absorbent pad, and a paperboard support, some of which may include additional layers therein as discussed below.
Container and closure assembly with predetermined humidity and related method
A container assembly configured to maintain a predetermined humidity for storing a product therein. The container assembly includes a container having a body with a body wall and a mouth opening into a storage cavity and a cap having a top wall. The cap is selectively mountable over the mouth of the container to substantially enclose the storage cavity in a mounted configuration. A sidewall extends substantially perpendicularly from one of the body wall and the top wall. The sidewall defines an opening and a compartment and has an opening edge adjacent the opening. A moisture control material is positioned within the compartment. A sealing membrane has a peripheral portion. The peripheral portion is secured to the sidewall proximate the opening edge. The sealing membrane is configured to allow moisture flow therethrough to maintain the predetermined humidity in the storage cavity.
AIR-PERMEABLE PACKAGING MATERIAL, AND PACKAGE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
An air-permeable packaging material which includes a non-perforated polyolefin layer having a thickness of 3 m to 18 m and constituted of at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polypropylene and polyethylene and a net-shaped reinforcing layer; a package which includes the air-permeable packaging material, the non-perforated polyolefin layer facing outward, and which contains an oxygen scavenger, a desiccant, a deodorant, an insect repellent, or a fragrance; and a method for producing the package.
Moistureproof container structure for accommodating biochemical test strip
A moistureproof container for accommodating a biochemical test strip. The moistureproof container includes a moistureproof unit disposed in the container body which houses the biochemical test strip. The moistureproof unit is formed of a hydrophilic polymer material on a surface of a carrier. The moistureproof unit is disposed in the container body which houses the biochemical test strip and absorbs the moisture in the container body.
Package For Delivery of Volatile Substance
A package for delivering a fluid volatile substance includes an impermeable shell that defines a reservoir into which a liquid volatile substance, such as oil, may be at least partially filled. A microporous membrane is placed in covering relation to the reservoir to allow emanation through capillarity of the volatile substance. To absorb any liquid that may seep through microporous membrane during use or storage, an oleophilic layer is heat sealed in covering relation to the microporous membrane. Finally, a foil barrier layer is sealed to the shell in covering relation to the microporous membrane. The foil barrier is releasable and once released will activate the volatile substance contained within the reservoir to transition from its liquid phase to a gaseous phase with the vapors carrying the scent of the volatile substance.
ABSORBENT FLUFF AND TISSUE LAMINATE PADS FOR FOOD PACKAGING
An absorbent pad has: a first, outer layer including a permeable or non-permeable film; a second, outer layer including a permeable or non-permeable film, placed on a side of the pad opposite the first, outer layer; a third layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer, and including a tissue laminate with at least two plies, with at least one chemical agent or system fixed in the third layer and being either activated by contact with or soluble in an aqueous liquid; and a fourth layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer and comprising fluff, with or without a chemical agent or system, the third layer being joined to the fourth layer to serve as a substrate for the fourth layer.
