PROTECTION OF OXYGEN SENSITIVE COMPOUNDS
Provided is a packaging system for an oxygen-sensitive compound (a drug, such as DHE, or an excipient such as exametazime), the system including a container, a self-activated oxygen scavenger (including an iron-based or non-iron based) and an oxygen-impermeable enclosure (e.g., an aluminum pouch). Also provided is a method of producing an oxygen-sensitive compound.
Dried food fresh-keeping packaging bag structure
A dried food fresh-keeping packaging bag structure includes a packaging bag and a fresh-keeping device in the packaging bag. The fresh-keeping device includes a storage box. One side of the storage box is attached to an inner surface of the packaging bag. The storage box has a storage chamber filled with a preservative. One side of the storage chamber is formed with an outlet provided with a breathable film to block the preservative. An outside of the breathable film is provided with a sealing film to seal the storage chamber. One end of the sealing film extends to an outside of a mouth of the packaging bag to form a pull portion. When in use, the pull portion is pulled to tear the sealing film from the fresh-keeping device, so that the dried food product in the packaging bag is kept dry by the preservative.
AQUEOUS OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION AND METHOD FOR TREATING DRY EYE SYNDROME
The present invention is concerned with a sterile aqueous ophthalmic solution comprising about 0.05% to about 0.5% (w/w) of N—(N-acetylcysteinyl-)chitosan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in a carrier solution, wherein the N—(N-acetylcysteinyl-)chitosan has a content of free thiol groups in an amount of from 80 μmol/g polymer to 280 μmol/g polymer. The invention is also concerned with a container containing said ophthalmic solution as well as the use thereof in the prevention or treatment of dry eye syndrome or dry eye signs and/or symptoms.
Treatment Of Neurodegenerative Diseases With Combination Of Laquinimod And Fingolimod
This invention provides a method of treating a subject afflicted with a neurodegenerative disease comprising periodic administration of an amount of laquinimod and an amount of fingolimod, wherein the amounts when taken together are effective to treat the subject. Also provided are packages and pharmaceutical compositions comprising laquinimod and fingolimod for treating a subject afflicted with a neurodegenerative disease. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition comprising laquinimod for use as an add-on therapy or in combination with fingolimod, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising fingolimod for use as an add-on therapy or in combination with laquinimod, for treating said subject.
DEHUMIDIFYING APPARATUS FOR A HOUSING
A dehumidifying device for a housing, in particular an electronics housing of an electromotor with a dehumidifying chamber includes a wall inside of which a hygroscopic material is received which is designed to bind air moisture from the dehumidifying chamber. The wall of the dehumidifying chamber includes at least one inner membrane permeable to vapor which can be brought into an active connection with an inner receiving space of the housing and an outer membrane which can be brought into an active connection with the outside environment of the housing. The at least one inner membrane and the outer membrane are permeable to vapor at least in a direction in which a transport of air moisture out of the inner receiving space of the housing through the dehumidifying chamber into an outside environment can be ensured.
MEDICAL STERILE PACKAGING UNIT
A medical sterile packaging unit for a sterile-packaged medical product, in particular for a filter module, including a primary packaging with at least one sterile-packaged and hermetically sealed medical product inside it, at least one nestable tray, with a plurality of inserts for each of the medical products packaged in the primary packaging, and at least one sleeve which wraps around the at least one tray with the primary-packaged medical products contained in it.
FILTER MODULE PACKAGING UNIT
A sterile packaging unit of a medical filter module including a filter module packed in a sterile primary package, wherein the primary package is a blister package including a molded part having a receiving compartment for the filter module and a cover part arranged on the molded part and hermetically sealing the receiving compartment, wherein the primary package includes a getter for binding molecular oxygen present in the receiving compartment and the filter module is mounted by form closure with respect to the molded part.
FILTER MODULE PACKAGING UNIT
A sterile filter module/dialyzer packaging including a filter module, preferably a dialyzer, sterile-packaged in a primary packaging. The filter module having an essentially cylindrical central section and a filter module connection formed at the end of the central section. The primary packaging is a blister packaging with a plastic molded part as a lower section forming a receiving compartment for the filter module and a soft upper foil which, with the lower section, closes the receiving compartment for the filter module. The upper foil is fixed onto the lower section so as to be hermetically sealed and the filter module is fixed at least in sections by means of form fit.
FOOD PRESERVATION WITH SILVER-BIOMASS
A food preservation system can include a gas (e.g., oxygen) permeable package having at least one oxygen permeable member defining a package chamber therein, and a silverized biomass in the package chamber of the oxygen permeable package. Another food preservation system can include a container having an internal chamber, and an oxygen permeable divider located in the internal chamber so as to divide the internal chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber can being configured for receiving food therein, and a silverized biomass is located in the second chamber. A method of preserving food can include retaining a food in a container that includes silverized biomass such that the food does not contact the silverized biomass. The silverized biomass can have a combination of silver and biomass.
System and method for distribution and dispensing of beverages
A method for the distribution and dispensing of beverages utilizes a one-way system including a disposable and freestanding container. The container is blow-molded in one piece from a preform of plastics. The system also includes a tube to be inserted in the container and a closure cap. The container can be filled, distributed to an end user and connected to standard beverage dispensing structure. After use, the empty container is collapsed and discarded.
