Casting tape package system
A casting tape package system is provided comprising an outer package defining a first interior portion enclosing a casting tape substrate including curable casting formulation and a second interior portion enclosing a curing agent. In certain embodiments, the curing agent is separated from the casting tape substrate by a barrier which is breakable to release the curing agent to activate the curable casting formulation.
Container For Consumable Liquid Having Chambers For Separating Ingredients And A Mixing Chamber
A Container For Consumable Liquids Having Chambers For Separating Ingredients And A Mixing Chamber, which is a unitary modular fluid container with a multitude of components, whereby, the segmented contents, such as alcohol, may be combined through an apparatus of mixing.
Customizable Multichamber Device
This disclosure relates to a multichamber device for administration of substances to a patient. The multichamber device comprises a first end comprising one or more ports and a second end opposite of the first end. The multichamber device further comprises a first plurality of septa and a second plurality of septa dividing the interior into a plurality of chambers, the first plurality of septa being parallel with the first end and configured to open, the second plurality of septa configured to remain sealed, the chambers further divided into a main chamber abutting the first end and being wider than the rest of the plurality of chambers and the rest of the plurality of chambers being organized into columns such that the columns extend from the second end to the main chamber and are oriented so that the first plurality of septa are configured to open toward the first end. The disclosure further relates to methods of using the multichamber device.
MULTI CHAMBER FLEXIBLE BAG AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A method of preparing a pharmaceutical product in a single multiple chamber flexible bag. A pharmaceutical product is introduced in a liquid state into a first chamber of the flexible bag through a first port. The pharmaceutical product is lyophilized within the first chamber of the flexible bag to provide a lyophilized pharmaceutical product. The flexible bag has a second chamber and the first chamber and the second chamber are separated by a breakable seal. The second chamber further includes a reconstituting solution for reconstituting the lyophilized pharmaceutical product in the first chamber. A user may apply pressure to the flexible bag to break the seal and mix the lyophilized pharmaceutical product and the reconstituting solution to order to administer the pharmaceutical product to a patient.
SELF-HEATED OR SELF-COOLED TOWEL
A self-heating or self-cooling towel is disclosed that includes a moistened cloth material surrounding and attached to a flexible reaction vessel which comprises two compartments containing reactants which are separated by a frangible seal. Manipulating the disclosed towel ruptures the frangible seal, joining the compartments and mixing the reactants, and causing an exothermic or endothermic reaction. The reaction heats or cools the moistened cloth-like outer material and keeps it at an elevated or depressed temperature for a period of time, during which the towel article may be used for various personal care, cleaning, medical, therapeutic, and other purposes.
POUCHED UNIT AND METHOD OF USING SAID POUCHED UNIT
A pouched unit comprising a dose of a substance which is enveloped by a main part of a pouch made from a water soluble material, wherein the pouch comprises a secondary part made from the water soluble material, the secondary part is attached to the main part via a weaker area of the water soluble material, which weaker area is configured to allow manual separation of the secondary part from the main part, and a message is provided on the secondary part.
Machine and method of manufacturing a two-compartment pouch
A machine and a method for forming a two-compartment pouch having a lower compartment and an upper compartment The method includes the steps of drawing a film over a pair of fill tubes; sealing side edges of the film to form a sleeve; forming a bottom seal on the sleeve; pulling the sleeve downwardly; filling a bottom portion of the pouch using one of the fill tubes; forming a second seal over the filled bottom portion; filling an upper portion of the pouch using the other fill tube; and sealing the upper portion.
Dispenser and Process
A dispenser (10) for dispensing a flowable material M has a container (12) having an outer wall (20) and membrane (14) collectively defining a first chamber (22) configured to contain the flowable material M. The membrane (14) has a thickness and a weld seam (40) wherein the weld seam (40) has a thickness less than the thickness of the membrane (14). A fracturing mechanism (16) is operably connected to the container (12). The fracturing mechanism (16) has an extending member (64) projecting from the outer wall (20) of the container (12). The extending member (64) has a projection (66) positioned proximate the membrane (14), wherein in response to deflection of the extending member (64), the projection (66) deflects the outer wall (20) proximate the membrane (14) wherein the weld seam (40) fractures creating an opening (41) through the membrane (14) configured to allow the flowable material M to pass therethrough and from the dispenser (10).
Coolant device, dispenser and methods
This invention provides a thin and discreet coolant device, and single and multiple unit dispenser containers containing the same. The coolant device comprises a first packet being comprised of a waterproof or water-resistant material containing water therewithin and further comprising a fold and further adapted to have a selectively permanent connection between external and internal layers of said fold, such that upon applying a force to laterally extend the ends of said packet, a rupture of said first packet occurs allowing for the leakage of the water contained therewithin. The coolant device further comprises a second packet which encases said first packet, comprising an exterior and interior layer, wherein said interior layer is comprised of an absorbent material and said exterior layer is comprised of a waterproof or water-resistant material and wherein an amount of powdered urea is located within an interior of said second packet. Upon lateral extension of the sides of the second packet, a rupture of said first packet occurs allowing for the leakage of the water contained therewithin and its exposure to said urea located within said second packet, which exposure results in an endothermic reaction resulting in an outer surface of said second packet becoming cooler to the touch than an outer surface temperature prior to said rupture. Use of the coolant devices to provide cooling to a skin surface on demand is described, as well.
