Disclosed is a multi-compartment container including features that permit the rupture or opening of a seal between compartments to enable mixing of the materials within each compartment, as well as a vapor permeable region to permit vapor to escape after mixing.

Apparatus for dispensing an adhesive
10266331 · 2019-04-23 ·

A method and apparatus for dispensing an adhesive having a base component and a hardener component that when mixed produce a curable adhesive is disclosed. The apparatus includes a compliant exterior wall enclosing a first volume for containing the base component and a second volume for containing the hardener component, the first and second volumes being separated by a membrane within the exterior wall. The apparatus also includes a frangible region formed in the exterior wall and being operable to rupture to provide at least one outlet in response to an increase in pressure caused by a force applied to the exterior wall, the at least one outlet permitting respective portions of the base component and the hardener component to be expelled to facilitate mixing of the curable adhesive.

Multi-functional, two-pouch package with drop test survivability
10259637 · 2019-04-16 · ·

A multi-functional package has a first reactive liquid component in a primary pouch and a second reactive liquid component in a secondary burstable pouch which is inside the primary pouch. The primary pouch has first and second compartments defined by an interior seal. The secondary pouch is in the second compartment. The interior seal extends only a portion of the way across the primary pouch, leaving a liquid flow passageway so that upon bursting the secondary pouch, the first and second liquid components can be mixed with one another. The internal seal is sized and located so that the multi-functional package is resistant to bursting when subjected to drop testing.

MULTI CHAMBER FLEXIBLE BAG AND METHODS OF USING SAME

A method of preparing a pharmaceutical product in a single multiple chamber flexible bag. A pharmaceutical product is introduced in a liquid state into a first chamber of the flexible bag through a first port. The pharmaceutical product is lyophilized within the first chamber of the flexible bag to provide a lyophilized pharmaceutical product. The flexible bag has a second chamber and the first chamber and the second chamber are separated by a breakable seal. The second chamber further includes a reconstituting solution for reconstituting the lyophilized pharmaceutical product in the first chamber. A user may apply pressure to the flexible bag to break the seal and mix the lyophilized pharmaceutical product and the reconstituting solution to order to administer the pharmaceutical product to a patient.

CLEANING KIT

A cleaning kit. The cleaning kit includes a first liquid-tight container and a second liquid-tight container adapted to be received within the first container to be ruptured by the application of pressure to the container by a user. The second container includes a sealable liquid-tight pouch; a baffle extending at least partially across the pouch adapted to reduce accidental rupture caused by handling during shipping and a frangible seal along at least a portion of an outer edge of the pouch. A cleaning liquid is in the second container, wherein the second container is adapted to be openable while it is located in the first container to release the liquid from the second container into the first container. Also, there is at least one absorbent applicator in the first container and adjacent to the second container in the first container whereby the release of liquid from the second container is applied to the applicator in the first container.

DISINFECTANT WIPES

A disinfectant wipes system (2) comprising: a flexible sealed container (4) containing a plurality of fabric wipe members (6) and a burstable sachet (12); a first part comprising a first reagent in a carrier medium absorbed or impregnated in the fabric wipe members; and a second part within the burstable sachet (12), the second part miscible with the first part and comprising a second reagent in a carrier medium; wherein the first reagent and the second reagent will react when mixed to provide a disinfectant composition; wherein the container (4) has an opening (14) through which the wipe members (6) and the burstable sachet (12) may pass; the opening (14) releasably sealed by an adhesive-backed label (8); and wherein the burstable sachet (12) is separate from the plurality of wipe members (6) so that it can be removed through the opening (14) without removing any of the plurality of wipe members (6).

MULTI-COMPARTMENT HEAT-SEALABLE BAG FOR FOOD STORAGE
20240260616 · 2024-08-08 ·

A storage bag for particular use with home based vacuum heat sealing devices includes adjacent compartments separated by a frangible seam. A first compartment may store substantially dry foodstuffs such as meat, and/or crunchy items. A second adjacent compartment may store a liquid marinade, sauce or similar flavoring. Each compartment may feature an opening for filling the respective compartment. The openings may be provided on a common edge such that heat sealing by a vacuum sealing device may be simultaneously performed in a single sealing operation. Channels may be embossed into the bag layers of the first compartment to facilitate evacuation of the first compartment by the vacuum sealing device prior to heat sealing. The sealed bag may be stored until required for consumption, at which time the internal frangible seam may be broken to allow mixing of the two compartments.

A storage bag for particular use with home based vacuum heat sealing devices includes adjacent compartments separated by a frangible seam. A first compartment may store substantially dry foodstuffs such as meat, and/or crunchy items. A second adjacent compartment may store a liquid marinade, sauce of similar flavoring. The openings for each compartment may be provided on opposite edges of the bag so that each compartment may be independently heat sealed using a vacuum sealing device. The first compartment may additionally be evacuated. The sealed bag may be stored until ready for consumption, at which time the internal frangible seam may be broken to allow mixing of the two compartments.

NESTED HEAT-SEALABLE BAGS FOR FOOD STORAGE

A storage bag for particular use with home based vacuum heat sealing devices includes nested bags. An outer bag may store substantially dry foodstuffs such as meat, and/or crunchy items. A smaller bag, pouch or sachet may store a liquid marinade, sauce or similar flavoring. The smaller bag may be sealed and then sealed within the outer bag which be vacuum sealed. Channels may be embossed into the bag layers of the outer bag to facilitate evacuation of the outer bag by the vacuum sealing device prior to heat sealing. The smaller inner bag may include a frangible outer seam that can be manipulated through the outer bag to cause the seam to rupture, thereby allowing the contents of the inner bag to mix with the contents of the outer bag, e.g. to cause a meat product to marinate prior to consumption.
