DEGRADABLE, BIODEGRADABLE, AND/OR COMPOSTABLE PACKAGES CONTAINING PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL
In one aspect, packages are described herein which include a shell and a phase change material disposed in the shell. The shell and the phase change material each have a degradability selected from the group consisting of (a) degradable, (b) biodegradable, (c) industrially compostable, and (d) home compostable. In some embodiments, the shell and the phase change material have the same degradability selected from the foregoing group.
Shipping container having a flame retardant layer and a thermal blocking layer
The present invention relates to containers and packaging materials, and more particularly to a container having a thermal barrier member for reducing the transfer of heat from and/or to the container. The shipping container preferably comprises an outer vessel with an O-ring and an inner vessel separated by an air gap. The inner vessel has a first and second wall and a lid assembly. The lid assembly has a top lid and a bottom lid and a thermal paste. A felt gasket is preferably positioned between the lid assembly and the first and second walls. The first and second walls comprise at least two relief valves. One relief valve is a Flame Arresting/Smoke Particulate Filtration/Chemical Adsorption Unit Assembly and the valve is bi-directional. The thermal paste is preferably a flowable polymer based heat-absorbing material. The shipping container is stackable on a registration plate with other containers.
Picnic Cooler with Internal Compartment for Cooling with Liquid Gas
A picnic cooler that include a food compartment, a liquid-gas tank with an adapter, an electric spigot and a cooling apparatus. The food compartment includes a release aperture with unidirectional valve that is designed to release outside the gas. The cooling apparatus includes a twisting piping system and an upper metallic plate that serves also as the inner bottom of the food compartment and as a cooling plate. A second end of the twisting piping system includes a secondary aperture that is positioned inside the food compartment and that causes additional pressure drop and by that assists to cool the interior of the food compartment.
COLLAPSIBLE SHIPPING COOLER
Systems and methods for a collapsible shipping cooler are described herein. The shipping cooler can be changeable between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The shipping cooler can comprise a base, a collapsible insulation assembly positioned partially within the base, a collapsible body coupled to the base, at least one divider configured to couple to the collapsible body, and a lid coupled to the collapsible body opposite the base. The collapsible insulation assembly can comprise a set of insulation walls that are at least partially movable and an inner chamber within the set of insulated walls. The collapsible body can be positioned around a portion of the collapsible insulation assembly when in the expanded configuration. The at least one divider can removably couple to one or more insulated walls of the set of insulated walls of the collapsible insulation assembly when the shipping cooler is in the expanded configuration.
ICELESS VENDOR TRAY
An iceless vendor tray maintains the temperature of liquid in beverage containers in a container compartment of the iceless vendor tray. The iceless vendor tray has walls defined by an outer shell and inner shell with a cavity therebetween. The cavity has a coolant therein. The coolant will maintain the liquid at or below the desired temperature without the addition of ice or other cooling device in the container compartment.
CONTOURED ICE PACK SYSTEM FOR A FISH BODY
Embodiments of the invention provide rigid (hard-sided) ice packs that include contours configured to cooperate with whole fish, as harvested. The contours allow the fish to have close contact with surfaces of the ice pack while also protecting the fish from being bruised, crushed, deformed, or otherwise damaged during storage or transportation.
THERMO-PROTECTION-STORAGE-CELL FOR COLD TRANSPORT-BOX
A thermo-protection-storage-cell (1) for the ensuring of a temperature range from a lower temperature exposure limit to an upper temperature exposure limit contains a thermo-cell body (2) and at least one filling chamber (3) which is arranged in the thermo-cell body (2). The at least one filling chamber (3) is filled with a first phase-change material (4) which changes its phase at the point of the lower temperature exposure limit. The at least one filling chamber (3) is filled with a second phase-change material (5) which changes its phase at the point of the upper temperature exposure limit. The thermo-protection-storage-cell (1) facilitates an efficient and safe ensuring of a temperature-sensitive good in a useful way, especially during its transport.
Thermally Insulating Packaging
A thermally insulating packaging to hold an item includes a solid compostable or recyclable shell that is formed primarily of starch, and a bottom cover. The shell includes a floor, a plurality of inner side walls that are coupled to the floor, a rim coupled to the plurality of inner side walls, and a plurality of outer side walls that are couple to the rim. The floor and the plurality of inner side walls define an interior space of the shell to receive the item and an opening to the interior space. The plurality of inner side walls and plurality of outer side walls have a space therebetween that defines a gap. The gap can be an air-filled cavity, or be filled with a compostable or recyclable core material.
Cold Pack and Storage Container for Perishables
A heat sealed cold pack with a plurality of broken boarder pockets for both holding a substance with a high heat of fusion, such as gel refrigerant consistently throughout the cold pack and allowing the gel refrigerant to migrate throughout the gel pack. The volume of each pocket is variable in response to flexibility and cooling capacity. A two container system that integrates the cold pack.
