20170172790 · 2017-06-22 ·

This invention provides a flexible and dynamic energy storage and transfer device for safe storage and transport of temperature sensitive products and for therapeutic uses. The portable device includes interactive chambers containing energy receptor materials with thermal holding capacity for cooling and heating purposes. Various chambers may be included to provide varying temperature zones. According to yet another aspect of the invention, a secondary layer is used to respond to environmental temperatures including ambient and exhaustive storage temperatures to extend the energy exchange period and sustain a thermal therapeutic dose toward targeted area.

Shipping Container Having a Flame Retardant Layer and a Thermal Blocking Layer

A shipping container for shipping thermally active materials includes a plurality of structural panels that define a container interior, and are configured for receiving the thermally active materials. The container also includes an exterior disposed adjacent to an environment in which the shipping container is disposed. A thermal barrier member is placeable between the thermally active materials and the environment in which the container is placed. The thermal barrier includes a thermal barrier interior panel and a thermal barrier external panel defining a heat absorbing material receiving cavity. A flowable polymer based heat absorbing material is disposed within the heat absorbing material receiving cavity. The thermal barrier is configured to substantially surround the thermally active materials to reduce the passage of thermal energy between the thermally active materials and the environment in which the shipping container is disposed.

The present application is related to a portable refrigeration apparatus for vaccines, food items, beverage containers, or any other item. The apparatus includes a refrigerated container comprised of a plurality of substantially identical chilling panels interconnected to form a sealed container that defines an internal volume, each of the chilling panels containing a cooling element. The refrigerated container encloses an internal storage space and has a generally modular design to facilitate packaging and transportation. The apparatus permits the internal storage space to maintain a temperature in the range of 4 C.8 C. for a long period of time following a loss of electrical power.

Dual Purpose Insulation Bowl
20250089920 · 2025-03-20 ·

The present invention relates to a cold and heat-insulating dual-purpose bowl, which can be used for keeping meals cool or provide heat insulation for food or liquids. The bowl is made of a double wall structure. The double wall insulated structure is made of stainless steel. Two water filling inlets is provided on each side of the bowl with two black rubber stoppers to seal and cover the inlets. The bottom of the bowl is designed with non-slip material. The bowl is placed in a refrigerator for freezing after water is filled in the cavity between the two walls. When in use, the bowl is taken out from the refrigerator, food is put into the bowl and is stirred, and the food can be cooled quickly and keeps food cold for a very long period. It should be noted, cooling water can be directly filled in the cavity to cool the food. Also, when no water is filled in the cavity, the bowl also functions as a heat insulation and keeps food warm for a long period.

Refrigerating assembly

There is provided a refrigerating assembly for temporarily storing an item at a first temperature lower than an ambient temperature. The refrigerating assembly comprises a container for receiving the item and a shell adapted for removably receiving the container therein. The container comprises a sidewall having therein defined a cavity containing an amount of a refrigerant medium having a second temperature lower than the ambient temperature for temporarily maintaining the item received in the container at the first temperature. The shell has an outer surface which is at the ambient temperature and an inner surface which has a layer of thermally insulating material mounted thereon for thermally insulating the shell from the container, thereby maintaining the outer surface at the ambient temperature. There is further provided a method for temporarily storing an item at a first temperature lower than an ambient temperature.
