MODULAR BOX ASSEMBLY
A modular box assembly includes a box having a top end, an opposed bottom end, and side panels extending from the top end to the bottom end. A bottom panel is disposed at the bottom end such that the side panels and the bottom panel define a box cavity and the top end defines a box opening. A shoulder is attached to two side panel and extends inward from the side panels into the box cavity, wherein each shoulder is spaced from the top end a predetermined distance. A box top covers the box opening, the box top being selectively movable about and between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the top panel engages the shoulders to support the top panel, and in the closed position an upper surface of the top panel is substantially flush with the top end of the box.
POLYLACTIC ACID-BASED CUSTOM PRODUCT PACKAGING AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A method for adhering polylactic acid-based (such as expandable polylactic acid resin (PLA) foam) custom product packaging to a surface is provided. The surface is heated to a suitable temperature and the PLA foam may be pressed against the surface for a second or seconds to rapidly adhere the PLA foam to the surface. The adhesion between the surface and the PLA foam may be sufficient to maintain the adhesion, but may also allow for the PLA foam to be removed from the surface.
POLYLACTIC ACID-BASED CUSTOM CORRUGATE PACKAGING AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A method for adhering polylactic acid-based (such as polylactic acid resin (PLA) foam) custom product packaging to a corrugate surface is provided. The corrugate surface is heated to a suitable temperature and the PLA foam may be pressed against the corrugate surface for a second or seconds to rapidly adhere the PLA foam to the corrugate surface. The adhesion between the corrugate surface and the PLA foam may be sufficient to maintain the adhesion, but may also allow for the PLA foam to be removed from the corrugate surface.
Recyclable insert for shipping container
A thermal insulation article for placement in a shipping container to hold an item includes a thermally insulating pad shaped to be positioned in a cavity of a rectangular prism shipping container to be adjacent to and cover one or more of a floor, four side walls and cover of the container while leaving an interior space to receive the item. The thermally insulating pad includes a compostable panel that holds together as a single unit and is formed primarily of starch, and compostable or recyclable film forming a pocket and surrounding the panel to prevent water from reaching the panel within the pocket. The film is secured to the panel along a portion but not all of the opposite surfaces of the compostable panel.
RETAINING TOOL, USE METHOD OF RETAINING TOOL, SYRINGE TRANSPORT TOOL SET, AND TRANSPORTATION METHOD OF SYRINGE
A retaining tool is to be arranged in a housing space of a packing container and has: an insertion portion into which a syringe containing a material storage container that stores a viscous material can be inserted in an upright posture; and a solid portion that is provided around the insertion portion and forms the insertion portion. The solid portion is formed from a first end portion at which the insertion portion is positioned in the direction in which the viscous material is inserted into the insertion portion to a second end portion that is on the opposite side from the first end portion; includes a non-crosslinked polyethylene foam; and prevents bubbling when the viscous material as frozen at 0? C. or below thaws. The present invention also provides a usage method for the retaining tool, a syringe transport tool set, and a transport method for a syringe.
Hinged wrap insulated container
An insulation wrap includes an insulation batt defining a top end and a bottom end, the insulation batt defining an inner side and an outer side; a wrap liner blank including an inner portion extending across a first panel and a second panel of the wrap liner blank, the inner side of the insulation batt positioned facing the inner portion; a ledge portion extending across the first panel and the second panel of the wrap liner blank, the ledge portion hingedly coupled to the inner portion by an inner hinge, the top end of the insulation batt positioned facing the ledge portion; and an outer portion extending across the first panel and the second panel of the wrap liner blank, the outer portion hingedly coupled to the ledge portion by a ledge hinge.
Insulated shipping system
A shipping container has an inner insulative sleeve having an outer, longitudinally extending, polymer film with lateral edges folded on itself to form a pocket having an opening and sealable by a flap. An assembly has an inner, longitudinally extending, biodegradable film having lateral edges and a longitudinal extending pad composed of textile cuttings and microbial and super-absorbent powders. The inner film extends longitudinally around the pad and is attached to the pad.
Adjustable insulation packaging
An insulation packaging assembly includes: a box including a top side wall, an bottom side wall, and a plurality of lateral side walls; a first insulation liner contacting a one of the lateral side walls of the box, the first insulation liner including a left fold, a center fold, and a right fold; and a second insulation liner contacting a second of the lateral side walls of the box, the second insulation liner including a top fold, a back fold, and a bottom fold, the top fold of the second insulation liner positioned between the left fold and the right fold of the first insulation liner.
THERMALLY INSULATING PACKAGING
A thermally insulating packaging to hold an item includes a solid compostable or recyclable shell that is formed primarily of a plant fiber, and a bottom cover. The shell includes a floor, a plurality of inner side walls that are coupled to the floor, a rim coupled to the plurality of inner side walls, and a plurality of outer side walls that are couple to the rim. The floor and the plurality of inner side walls define an interior space of the shell to receive the item and an opening to the interior space. The plurality of inner side walls and plurality of outer side walls have a space therebetween that defines a gap. The gap can be an air-filled cavity, or be filled with a compostable or recyclable core material.
INSULATED CONTAINER
An insulated container may include a rigid container surrounding an insulation layer formed from a post-industrial, pre-consumer card waste. The insulation layer may include a natural fiber lamination layer on an outer surface of the insulation layer or may be housed in a biodegradable plastic. The insulated layer may be manufactured in a capital T shape such that it may be folded for compact transportation prior to end use. The folded insulation layer may bound by a separable band. The separable band may be removed when folded insulation layer is placed in the rigid container. The insulation layer and the band may be biodegradable in an anaerobic environment.
