MICROSTRUCTURED PACKAGING SURFACES FOR ENHANCED GRIP
A label with improved physical properties comprising: a base layer having a microstructured area; a composite microstructure having a first, second and third set of microstructures disposed on the microstructured area; a dry lift force attributable to the composite microstructure greater than 7 pounds according to lift testing; a wet lift force attributable to the composite microstructure greater than 7 pounds according to lift testing; an adhesive layer affixed to the base layer for affixing the label to a container; and, thereby providing a microstructured label having improved gripping physical properties that can be affixed to a container.
Insulated container and methods of making and assembling
A multi-layer sheet for forming an expanded foam container, the multi-layer sheet including a first layer of an expanded foam material including a first polyolefin-based material including at least one polypropylene-based polymer and a second layer of an unexpected material including a second polyolefin-based material including at least one polypropylene-based polymer that is co-extruded, extrusion coated, or laminated on a first side of the first layer.
Container and method for making and filling the same
A method of making a container having a separable inner lining and outer shell comprises the steps of: forming an outer shell having a base, a sidewall and a rim surrounding an opening of the shell; preforming a flexible lining, at least a part of the lining conforming to a complete internal shape of the shell; inserting the pre-formed lining into the shell so that a first part of the lining is within the shell and a second part of the lining protrudes from the opening of the shell; adhering the first part to an internal surface of the shell; conforming the second part to an external surface of the shell; and attaching to the lining around said rim a sealing layer covering the opening, the sealing layer being peelable from the lining such that the lining remains intact, and the adhesion between the lining and the internal surface of the shell being such that the lining is peelable from the shell while remaining intact.
Container and method for making the same
A method of making a container (2, 30) having a separable inner lining (6) and outer shell (4) comprises the steps of: forming an outer shell; pre-forming a flexible lining, at least a part of the lining conforming to a complete internal shape of the shell; inserting the preformed lining into the shell so that a first part of the lining is within the shell and a second part of the lining protrudes from the opening of the shell; adhering the first part to an internal surface (8) of the shell; conforming the second part to an external surface of the shell; and attaching to the lining around said rim a sealing layer covering the opening, and the adhesion between the lining and the internal surface of the shell being such that the lining is peelable from the shell while remaining intact.
Insulated container with molded brim
A container is formed to include an interior region and a mouth opening into the interior region. The container includes a floor and a side wall coupled to the floor to define the interior region between the floor and the side wall.
Process for forming an insulated container having artwork
A container is formed to include and interior region and a mouth opening into the interior region. The container includes a floor, a side wall coupled to the floor to define the interior region between the floor and the side wall, and artwork on the side wall.
Cup
Cup having a base and an adjoining shell, it being possible for the shell to be provided with a mouth roll at its opposite end to the base and to be configured with a single layer or multiple layers, at least one layer of the shell being produced from paper or cardboard or other comparable materials, at least one layer of the shell being provided with elevations and/or depressions substantially over its entire height and at least approximately the entire circumference, the difference in depth between the maximum elevation or depression and the material layer or the depression or elevation varying over the height of the shell and/or over the circumference, and it being possible for the mouth roll to be formed integrally on the inner layer or the only layer.
Insulated containers and related methods
An insulated container for a beverage comprises an inner wall defining an opening and a volume, an outer wall surrounding the inner wall and defining a cavity between the inner wall and the outer wall, and one or more heat transfer devices within the cavity and attached to the inner wall, the one or more heat transfer devices spaced from the outer wall and configured to contact the outer wall responsive to exceeding a temperature greater than a predetermined temperature. Related insulated containers and methods are also disclosed.
Insulated container
A container includes a cup formed to include and interior region and an insulated sleeve. The insulated sleeve is coupled to an outer surface of the cup.
Paperboard blanks having a shrinkable film adhered thereto and paperboard container made therefrom
Blanks and paper products made therefrom are provided. In one aspect, the blank for forming a paper product can include a paperboard substrate and a film. At least a portion of the film can be secured to the paperboard substrate with an adhesive disposed between the paperboard substrate and the film. A peel strength of less than 330 g/2.54 cm at a temperature of 23 C. can be required to separate the film secured to the paperboard substrate with the adhesive.
