Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.

A two-piece measured-dose dispensing closure (10) includes a cup-shaped measuring chamber (12) and a rotatable dispensing control lid (14). In use, the dispensing control lid is axially moved relative to the measuring chamber by rotation between a first closed position, a second intermediate dispensing position, and a third drain position.

A microtablet dispenser is provided herein including: a microtablet reservoir disc including a plurality of wells each formed to accommodate at least one microtablet, the wells being arranged in at least one array; a screen plate having at least one opening shaped to expose all of the wells of one of the arrays when aligned therewith; and, a dose selector plate including a plurality of dosing apertures arranged in a plurality of dosing arrays of different patterns. With one of the arrays being aligned with the at least one opening of the screen plate and with a selected dosing array, the microtablets accommodated in the wells aligned with dosing apertures are free to pass through the corresponding dosing apertures so as to be dispensed therefrom, while the wells of the array not aligned with dosing apertures are obstructed by solid portions of the dose selector plate.

Contact lens dispensers are provided including a pens dispenser having an interior and a dispensing end. A delivery screw is provided in the interior of the tubular housing. The delivery screw has a thread pitch and a plurality of contact lenses, one contact lens per pitch. Upon actuation of an actuator, each contact lens moves along the thread by a distance of one pitch and a single contact lens is dispensed from the dispensing end of the tubular housing. A case and disposable foil contact lens cartridge are also provided as a re a case and disposable contact lens foil spool, wherein actuation of push-buttons dispense contact lenses ready for immediate application onto an eye.

A timed medicant dispensing device for limiting abuse of controlled substances includes a shell, which is selectively securable to the disc so that the shell and the disc define an interior space. The shell has an aperture positioned therein proximate to a perimeter thereof. A ring positioned in the interior space has a plurality of slats engaged thereto and extending outwardly therefrom to define a plurality of compartments. Each compartment is configured to have positioned therein a respective medicant. A rotator engaged to the disc and operationally engaged to the ring is positioned to selectively rotate the ring to align a respective compartment with the aperture. A timer engaged to the disc and operationally engaged to the rotator is positioned to selectively actuate the rotator to rotate the ring to align the respective compartment with the aperture. The aperture is configured to allow dispensing of the respective medicant.

A child resistant container comprising a tray and a cover is provided. The tray comprises a plurality of tray compartments arranged radially around a centrally disposed tray hub. Each tray compartment defines a cavity for holding one or more articles. The container is a “dial pack” type container, meaning the tray can be rotated with respect to the cover to expose each cavity in turn.

The present invention relates generally to electronic smoking devices and in particular to a tray for at least a portion of an electronic smoking device.

The tray (100) comprises at least one cavity (101) for containing the portion. The tray (100) is configured to be reversibly deformed from a default form into a deformed form by finger interaction with interaction elements of the tray (100) having a distance to each other of at least 90% of the average distance between thumb tip and index finger tip or a middle finger tip of an adult. A solution is proposed for dispensing substances to be taken by a user. A corresponding dispensing device comprises a memory for storing an indication of a taking plan of a plurality of doses of one or more substances, the taking plan comprising an indication of a taking time of each dose, a plurality of compartments each one for containing one of the doses, a signaling unit for providing a taking notice of each dose in response to the corresponding taking time, a pushbutton for releasing the dose corresponding to each taking notice from the corresponding compartment in response to a releasing command; the dispensing device comprises a plate having a collecting surface in a central zone thereof, the compartments being arranged in a peripheral zone of the plate and the pushbutton facing towards the central zone of the plate for collecting the doses released thereby onto the collecting surface. An assistance system is also proposed for facilitating the taking of substances by a user, the system comprising this dispensing device and a processing device of a person in charge of the dispenser device adapted to communicate with each other.
