Actuator cap for a fluid spray dispenser

An actuator cap (1; 50) for a fluid spray dispenser comprises a second body part (2) and a first body part (3). The first body part (3) is adapted for connection to a container for the fluid to be dispensed and incorporates a spray channel arrangement (4). The second body part (2) incorporates an actuator button (5) and is rotatable with respect to the first body part (3) from a first position in which the actuator button (5) is non-elevated into a second position in which the actuator button (5) is elevated and capable of depression to cause depression of a part (16) of the spray channel arrangement (4). The actuator button (4) defines a first cam profile (20) along which a first cam follower (22) defined by the first body part (3) travels to cause elevation or retraction of the actuator button (5) when the second body part (3) is rotated. The actuator button (5) also defines a second cam profile (23) that bears against said part (21) of the spray channel arrangement (4) such that when the actuator button (5) is in its elevated position and depressed the actuator button (5) depresses the second cam profile (23) and in turn depresses the part (21) of the spray channel arrangement (4) relative to the first body part (3) to dispense fluid from the container when in use. Preferably, the first and second body parts (3, 2) are individual, integrally moulded components that are snap-fitted together to assemble the actuator cap (1; 50).

A spray canister dispenser for mounting to a spray canister to allow for more convenient actuation of a nozzle. The spray canister dispenser includes a housing that removably mounts to an upper end of a spray canister. A first channel is disposed on an interior sidewall of the housing and can align with a lip of the spray canister to selectively couple thereto. An actuator assembly having a trigger handle and an actuator extends from a moveable plate secured to the housing and can transition between a dispensing and resting configuration. In the dispensing configuration, the actuator is forced against a spray canister nozzle to dispense substance therefrom. In use, the trigger handle is positioned on a forward side of the spray canister, wherein the housing is on a rearward side of the canister. An aperture is disposed within the trigger handle to allow the substance to be dispensed therethrough.

Safety valve locking device

A child-resistant assembly includes a collar member for coupling to a container. The collar member includes an upper wall, opposing passageways on the upper wall, opposing biasing members and a slide member integrally formed. The slide member extends longitudinally through the opposing passageways and includes a longitudinal slot and a pair of lateral slots formed along the longitudinal slot, with a stop member formed between the pair of lateral slots. The assembly also includes an intermediate member positioned on the collar member and includes a locking member extending downwardly therefrom. The locking member is configured to be positioned within each of the pair of lateral slots. In a rested state, the locking member is prevented from downward movement by the stop member. In an engaged state, the locking member can be positioned within a lateral slot and material from the container is capable of being discharged.
