20250115414 · 2025-04-10 ·

A pressure vessel with an interior adapted to contain a pressurized substance is provided. The pressure vessel includes a membrane including an interior surface exposed to the interior of the pressure vessel, the membrane adapted to hermetically seal the pressure vessel in an intact state and to release the pressurized substance in a ruptured state. The pressure vessel further includes an actuating rod coupled to and extending from an exterior surface of the membrane on an opposite side of the membrane relative to the interior surface, the actuating rod adapted to transition the membrane from the intact state to the ruptured state in response to receiving a transverse force.

In accordance with an example embodiment, there is disclosed herein, an apparatus that comprises a container having an interior space configured to hold a pressurized fluid to dispense aerosolized. The container further comprises a first end and a second end. The first end of the container is configured to dispense the contents of the pressurized fluid. The second end of the container is shaped like an inverted dome and has an adapter that provides access to the interior space of the container. The adapter at the second end of the container can be employed to depressurize the container and/or to refill the container.

Fluid dispensing method and apparatus

A fluid storage system includes a container defining an interior space that lacks an internal valve. A product and a propellant are stored under pressure within the interior space. A container cap includes a membrane that encloses a space defined by a coupling element, which includes a releasable fastener that releasably couples a fluid dispensing apparatus to the container. The container cap also includes a dip tube comprising a proximate end that extends at least partially into the space defined by the coupling element, and a distal end that protrudes from the space in a direction generally away from the container cap, into the interior space defined by the container. The dip tube defines an interior passage extending between the proximate end and the distal end through which the product is to be expelled from the container by the propellant.

A paint container for use with a reusable dispensing apparatus, and the reusable dispensing apparatus are provided to dispense paint under pressure. The paint container includes a housing defining an interior space that is devoid of an internal valve, and a combination comprising a propellant combined with paint within the interior space. A container cap is installed on the housing to enclose the propellant combined with the paint within the interior space at an elevated pressure, and defines a channel that cooperates with a portion of the housing. A compressible gasket is disposed within the channel and compressed between the container cap and the portion of the housing to form a seal that interferes with an escape of the propellant combined with the paint between the container cap and the housing. A releasable fastener engages releasably couples the reusable dispensing apparatus to the container cap.

Device for dispensing a material by means of pressurized gas and partially gas-filled tubular body for use therein

A device for dispensing a material includes a reservoir for the material and an outlet channel connectable thereto. The reservoir has a tubular body partially filled with pressurized gas and partially filled with the material to be dispensed. One end of the tubular body is welded shut and an opposite end is closed by a sealing member extending over at least part of a cross-sectional area of the tubular body. The sealing member is arranged in a sleeve connected to the end of the tubular body opposite the welded end thereof. The sealing member has a pierceable diaphragm and the device may further comprise a piercing member. The sealing member can include a movable valve or can be removably fixed inside the tubular body and the device can include an operating member. The tubular body and the piercing member or operating member, respectively, may be movable towards each other.
