Device for dispensing a fluid product, having a reservoir containing the fluid product and a metering valve having a valve body containing a metering chamber, a valve shut-off element sliding axially in the valve body between an rest position and a dispensing position in order to dispense the contents of the metering chamber. The valve shut-off element is urged towards its rest position by a valve spring, the reservoir containing a follower-piston and a piston spring that axially urges the follower-piston towards the metering valve, the follower-piston being suitable for axially sliding in the reservoir in a sealed manner after each actuation to compensate for the volume of each dispensed dose.
Ring for fluid product dispensing device
A ring for arranging around a valve body of a fluid dispenser valve mounted by a fastener capsule on a reservoir containing fluid to be dispensed. The ring includes a single piece including at least one inner portion that co-operates with the valve body, a radial flange that forms a neck gasket between the neck of the reservoir and the fastener capsule, and at least one axial recess that extends, at least in part, around the periphery of the ring, radially inwards from the radial flange, the single piece is made out of a first material that is substantially deformable; and at insert least one filler insert that fills the at least one axial recess at least in part, the at least one filler made out of a second material that is more rigid than the first material, the at least one filler insert being over-molded on the single piece.
Fluid medium dispensing system and a method of assembling a dispensing system for a fluid medium
The present invention provides a fluid medium dispensing system (1) for dispensing a fluid medium stored under pressure. The system (1) comprises a container (3) for storing the fluid medium under pressure, the container (3) comprising a neck (5) defining an opening (6). A valve cup (2) supporting a valve (4) closes the opening (6) of the container (3). Contiguous portions (14, 5) of the valve cup (2) and the neck (5) are comprised of plastics materials. The plastics materials of these contiguous portions (14, 5) are fused to form a molten weld seam (15a; 15b) by laser welding thereby sealing the container (3). Preferably, the plastics material of the neck (5) of the container (3) is laser-transparent and the plastics material of the valve cup (2) is laser-absorbing. Advantageously, the plastics material of the valve cup (2) is a semi-crystalline polymer. The invention also provides a method of assembling a dispensing system (1) for a fluid medium. In the method a valve cup (2) is provided that has at least a peripheral portion thereof that is comprised of a plastics material and that includes a valve (4). A container (3) is provided that is suitable for storing the fluid medium under pressure and that comprises a neck (5) comprised of a plastics material. The neck (5) defines an opening (6) and the valve cup (2) is positioned at the opening (5). The internal volume of the container (3) is then charged before the valve cup (2) is pressed into the neck (5) of the container (3). The plastics materials of the valve cup (2) and the neck (5) are then fused together to form the molten weld seam (15a; 15b) by laser welding thereby sealing the container (3).
METERING VALVE MECHANISM OF AEROSOL CONTAINER AND AEROSOL TYPE PRODUCT WITH SAID METERING VALVE MECHANISM
The purpose of the present invention is to enable a metering chamber and a propellant-accommodating space region to be reliably isolated from each other at a metering valve mechanism, where contents placed in an inner bag is discharged from the metering chamber to the outside space by means of an annular piston which is moved by pressure from the propellant acting thereon and is for configuring the metering chamber, the isolation being achieved by preventing the contents loaded into the inner bag from leaking through both inner and outer edges of a contents-receiving surface section of the annular piston to a propellant-receiving surface side on the other side thereof. For example, an annular piston 8 of a bag-on-valve type metering valve mechanism is composed of a lower surface section for having act thereon the pressure from contents to be sprayed, which are loaded via a stem vertical center passage section 6a and an inner housing 3 (3a+3b), and an upper surface section disposed on the other side thereof and having act thereon the pressure from a propellant via an upper vertical hole part 4f. An inner lower-side inverted skirt-like section 8b for providing a seal with the outer peripheral surface of the inner housing 3 and an outer lower-side skirt-like section 8b for providing a seal with the inner peripheral surface of an outer housing 4 are formed at least at the edges of the lower surface section.
