A valve mechanism for a high-pressure spray can has a switching base, a first ball, and a second ball. The switching base has a first passage, a first suction port, a second passage, and a second suction port. The first passage has a first inclined inner wall surface. The first inclined inner wall surface extends obliquely toward a specific side from the top end to the bottom end of the first passage. The second passage has a second inclined inner wall surface. The second inclined inner wall surface extends obliquely toward the specific side from the bottom end to the top end of the second passage. The first ball and the second ball are respectively mounted in the first passage and the second passage and move along the first inclined inner wall surface and the second inclined inner wall surface to block the first suction port and the second suction port.

Spray Control Device for Aerosol Cans
20170362013 · 2017-12-21 ·

A spray control apparatus for aerosol cans has a can coupling cap with a segmented and discontinuous aerosol can engaging ring. The cap top lip has a locking ledge having a bearing surface facing away from the can engaging ring, a cam track having a bearing surface facing toward the can engaging ring, and a guide slot therebetween. A plurality of generally planar reinforcing ribs radiate inwardly from the cap side wall. An actuator is concentrically within the cap, and has at least one cam protruding radially into the cap top lip. The cam engages the locking ledge bearing surface in a first rotary position and is thereby blocked from axial movement, and engages the cam track bearing surface in a second rotary position and is thereby driven axially toward the can engaging ring, and passes though the guide slot when rotated between the first and second rotary positions.

VALVE FOR DISPENSING A FLOWABLE PRODUCT FROM A PRESSURIZED CONTAINER
20230192390 · 2023-06-22 ·

A valve dispenses flowable product from a container. The valve includes a mounting cup for mounting the valve on the container, a seal supported on the mounting cup, and a valve stem extending through the seal. The seal and the valve stem define a generally annular passage section of the valve passage that extends longitudinally along the valve axis radially between the valve stem and the seal. At least one of the valve stem and the seal includes a baffle extending transverse to the valve axis, the baffle defining a flow restriction along the generally annular passage section.

Valve assembly for dispensers

A valve assembly for a dispenser. The valve assembly includes a valve body that extends about a longitudinal axis and defines an outer surface and an inner passageway. The valve body includes a first valve body surface and a second valve body surface opposite the first valve body surface. A valve stem extends through the inner passageway and includes an outer stem surface, an inner stem surface opposite the outer stem surface, and a first orifice extending from the outer stem surface to the inner stem surface. A resilient member is disposed on at least a portion of the first valve body surface. The resilient member is made from a resilient polymeric material and has a non-linear compression profile.

A valve stem extends through the inner passageway and includes an outer stem surface, an inner stem surface opposite the outer stem surface, and a first orifice extending from the outer stem surface to the inner stem surface. The valve assembly includes a retaining member joined to the valve stem, wherein the retaining member extends outward from the outer stem surface. The valve assembly includes a resilient member and one or more force concentrators configured to operatively engage the resilient member.

Aerosol venting method
