A portable container system including: an insert tray having a tray body with at least one tray recess formed therein; and a rigid container having a chamber therein configured for receiving the insert tray; wherein the insert tray includes at least one first securement member extending from the tray body, said first securement member being configured for arrangement in to a first configuration in which the first securement member is moved relatively inwardly towards a side-wall of the tray body as the insert tray is inserted in to the chamber of the rigid container in a direction inwardly of an opening of the chamber, and, said first securement member being configured for arrangement in to a second configuration in which the first securement member is moved relatively outwardly away from the side-wall of the tray body once the insert tray has been inserted in to the chamber of the rigid container, and wherein, the rigid container includes at least one second securement member protruding inwardly of the chamber from an inner surface of a side-wall of the rigid container, whereby when the at least one first securement member of the insert tray is arranged in the second configuration after being inserted in to the chamber, the at least one first securement member is configured to abut against the at least one second securement member so as to restrict movement of the insert tray in a direction outwardly of the opening of the chamber; and wherein a portion of the insert tray is configured for biasing the at least one securement member in to the second configuration from the first configuration.

The display area includes exterior surfaces of the outer case. The outer case includes an open position in which the display area also includes exterior portions of the inner case. The product package may also include additional features intended to increase the display area of the product package, including a fold-out panel providing an additional exterior surface, an angled outer surface that is visible from a front perspective of the product package, and pivotable sections increasing the surface area of the product package.

A liner is adhered to the underside of the sheet of polymer material. The liner is configured to cover the opening and includes a foil layer and a paper layer. The sheet of polymer material includes a line of perforations wherein one or more of the perforations of the line of perforations include a rectilinear portion and a non-rectilinear portion.

The hinged-lid inner pack can slide from a first position at which the hinged-lid is in the closed position to a second position at which the hinged-lid is in the open position. The outer shell includes a first stop tab on an inner side of the back wall. The hinged-lid inner pack includes a second stop tab on a tongue extending from the hinged-lid, and a third stop tab on the back wall of the hinged-lid inner pack.

Rigid pack for rod-shaped articles includes; a parallelepiped-shaped container, which houses the group of articles and has at least a lower wall, a front wall, a rear wall and two side walls; and a support system arranged in the container and has at least a first containing wall, which is parallel to the lower wall and is provided with a plurality of through holes, each engaged by a corresponding smoking article. The support system consists of a first articulated parallelogram having a frame glued to the rear wall of the container, two cranks and a connecting rod, which only rests against the front wall of the container, so that, while the rigid pack is being manufactured, the support system can be formed with the first articulated parallelogram in a flat condition and can subsequently be expanded by opening the first articulated parallelogram by rotation of both cranks.

Humidifying Insert and Method for Humidifying Smoking Articles

A humidifying insert for a smoking article packaging has a planar shape, is insertable into a smoking article packaging and includes a humidifying agent and a humidity transmitter, which transfers the humidifying agent from the humidifying insert into the inner volume of the smoking article packaging. A storage compartment, in which the humidifying agent is stored, has a fluidic connection to the humidity transmitter, wherein the fluidic connection is blocked with a breakable barrier. A method for humidifying smoking articles is also provided.
