INTERMODAL CONTAINER, HANDLING METHOD AND APPARATUS

The present invention provides a lid (400) for an open container (100, 13.10), a lid lifting system (13.100), a tippler (13.200) with the improved lid lifting system (13.100) and a method of lifting a container. The lid and lifting arrangement includes an apertured receiving formation (401) on an upper side of a lid (100) to receive a lift member (13.40). The lift member (13.40) can do one or more than one of the following: engaging the formation (401) will unlock a locking mechanism (13.42,458) holding the lid (400) to a container (100); or allow the lift member (13.40) to be rotated to thereby unlock the locking mechanism (13.42, 458) which locks the lid (400) to the container (100), while simultaneously locking the lift member (13.40, 458) to the lid (400). A lifting device which is able to perform such actions is also disclosed, and a method to operate the lifting device.

Method for mounting an inner support beam of a container and the container

A method for mounting an inner support beam of a container, including: fixing a bottom support beam and a back support beam to a container body in a reusable and detachable manner; supporting the bottom support beam on a floor of the container body, and supporting the back support beam on a side wall corrugated plate. The back support beam is supported in a groove of the side wall corrugated plate, and the top end of the back support beam is connected to the side wall corrugated plate in the reusable and detachable manner. The end of the bottom support beam is jointed to the bottom end of the back support beam in the reusable and detachable manner and in a manner of restricting a movement of the bottom end of the back support beam in a direction away from the side wall corrugated plate.

An apparatus for generating electricity from falling material includes a capture wheel arranged to receive a falling material and be rotated thereby. The capture wheel may be mounted on a transportable housing having a generator therein. The housing may be a shipping container and the apparatus may be arranged to fit entirely within the shipping container for transportation. The capture wheel may include a hub comprising a central core encapsulated in a layer of resilient material; a wheel framework extending from the hub, wherein the wheel framework is connected to the resilient layer; and a plurality of bucket sections mounted on the wheel framework and arranged to receive the falling material. The hub may be a tri-layer hub including a central core, a layer of resilient material, and an outer support ring surrounding the layer of resilient material. A method of generating electricity using such an apparatus is also disclosed.

MOBILE STORAGE SYSTEM

The invention relates to a mobile storage system having a mobile container with an automated storage and retrieval system arranged inside. The automated storage and retrieval system has a storage grid structure having vertical members defining multiple columns, such as storage columns for storing storage bins on top of each other in vertical stacks. The vertical members are interconnected at their upper ends by a first rail system arranged to guide at least one bin handling vehicle thereon. The bin handling vehicle is configured to raise storage bins from, and lower storage bins into, the storage columns, and to transport the storage bins above the storage columns. The invention also relates to a method for providing such a system. The invention also relates to a mobile storage system having a plurality of mobile containers connected together and a method for providing such a system.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RAPID BARRIER DEPLOYMENT

A system, method and program product for developing and deploying a rapidly deployable barrier system. The present disclosure further relates to a rapidly deployable barrier system that provides an expandable set of optional features that may be employed when the rapidly deployable barrier system deployed.

Mobile ventilation stack assembly

The disclosure relates to devices and methods for ventilating enclosed area such as shipping containers or structures erected to temporarily contain cargo items. A central element in such devices and methods is a ventilation stack assembly in which a vertically-oriented stack having an outlet is connected at its other end to a pipe leading to an inlet. A first housing having the dimensions (and preferably the fittings) of a standard shipping container is rigidly connected to the stack and pipes, and the assembly can be physically manipulated as if it were a standard shipping container. Gas (e.g., fumigant) provided to the pipe inlet passes through the pipe and into and through the stack, exiting at the outlet, which can be situated at an altitude whereat gas discharged therefrom is dispersed into the atmosphere at a location and concentration at which displeasure or hazard to humans can be reduced.

A hopper-in-frame for transporting granular proppant material, such as oil well sands subjected to fracturing, having a top loading through a hatch in the roof and lateral gravity discharge opening at the level of the hopper floor and not below the hopper through a lower side discharge opening where the load asymmetry is compensated for by the inclusion of an asymmetric roof that includes at least a portion of the roof asymmetrically lowered, such as a sloping roof or sloping to the side of the wall of download. The hopper-in-frame is supported and delimited by a frame that in turn is compatible to be incorporated in intermodal cargo containers.

An exemplary approach for protecting floorings in containers may utilize a first ledger attached to an upper portion of a first support beam associated with a foundational base assembly. A portion of the first ledger may protrude outward in a first horizontal direction from the upper portion of the first support beam. A second ledger may be attached to an upper portion of a second support beam next to the first support beam. A portion of the second ledger may protrude outward in a second horizontal direction from the upper portion of the second support beam. The second horizontal direction may face the first horizontal direction. A support panel may be placed on top of the portion of the first ledger and the portion of the second ledger. The support panel may have a length proximate to a distance between the first support beam and the second support beam.
