System and apparatus for positioning intermodal containers on pallets
11629005 · 2023-04-18 · ·

The invention is a system for positioning and removably securing an intermodal container to an intermodal pallet. The system permits the container's longitudinal centerline to be offset from the longitudinal centerline of the pallet, while still providing sufficient support to the container. The invention is a removable system of adapters for positioning and securing a container to the surface of the pallet, and when the adapters are in place, define longitudinal and lateral boundaries for engagement with an intermodal container. A plurality of strap brace assemblies positioned on one side of the pallet to provide an offset anchor position for a plurality of flexible straps, which secure the container when it is positioned on the pallet.

Vehicle transport structures

A support structure for supporting vehicles one above the other during transport or storage, the structure comprising a base frame having four corner posts extending generally vertically when in use to support a separate upper frame on which an upper vehicle can be supported in an elevated transport position, and one or more separate lower frames arranged to be positioned within the base frame when in use on which a lower vehicle can be supported. The upper frame is guided up the corner posts when the upper vehicle is raised to the elevated transport position. The base frame, upper and lower frames are transportable in a collapsed state when not in use by folding the corner posts down and collapsing the base frame, upper frame and lower frame so that they occupy less space with the upper, and lower and base frames in a nested configuration.

WIND TURBINE NACELLE

A wind turbine nacelle configured for mounting on a wind turbine tower and for supporting a rotor assembly, the nacelle comprising at least a first and a second nacelle module. The first nacelle module comprises a first frame structure and a main bearing system for a main shaft of the rotor assembly, and the second nacelle module comprises a second frame structure and a drive train system for the wind turbine. When the nacelle is mounted on the wind turbine tower, the main bearing system is supported by the wind turbine tower, and the drive train system is attached to the main bearing such that the weight of the drive train system is transferred to the main bearing system and thereby to the wind turbine tower. Further, the first frame structure is configured to support the main bearing system during transportation and prior to mounting of the nacelle, and the second frame structure is configured to support the drive train system during transportation and prior to mounting of the nacelle, and the first and second frame structures form a load carrying structure of a first and a second shipping freight container such that the first and second nacelle module can be transported as shipping freight containers. When the nacelle is mounted on the wind turbine tower, the first and second frame structures may be placed side by side in a direction along a rotational axis of the wind turbine rotor and may be oriented such as to have a length extending transversely to a rotational axis of the wind turbine rotor.

Industrial Truck for Transporting Containers on a Support Frame

Disclosed herein concerns an industrial truck for transporting a container on a support frame including a vehicle frame with height-adjustable wheel suspensions and engagement means for fixing a support frame which can be picked up by the industrial truck. Further disclosed herein is a self-supporting support frame suitable to interact with the industrial truck.

BULK MATERIAL SHIPPING CONTAINER UNLOADER

An unloader for a shipping container includes a supporter having a frame structure and a pallet base supported by the frame structure and configured to receive the pallet and support the shipping container in an elevated position. A gate moving mechanism is supported by the pallet base and configured to engage the moveable gate assembly when the full shipping container is positioned onto the pallet base. A material director has a first end located beneath the pallet base subjacent of the gate moving mechanism. The material director extends downwardly from the pallet base and terminates at a second end opposite the first end. Bulk material is dispensed from the shipping container into the first end and is discharged from the second end of the material director. Shipping containers may be positioned onto and removed from the pallet base without disassembly of the unloader.

A securing assembly is adapted to secure objects to a structure. The assembly includes an attachment mechanism adapted to attach the assembly to an object in use. An elongate rod has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is connectable to the attachment mechanism and the second end is connectable to an adjustment device. A base is adapted to connect the adjustment device to the structure in use. The adjustment device is operable to adjust a tension between the object and the structure by way of the assembly to secure the object to the structure in use.

Transport shipping container for personal watercraft

A shipping container for a personal watercraft, in which a first and second pair of roller guides attach to a pallet for removably receiving a pair of trusses that support a personal watercraft thereon, the trusses movable between a first position for loading or unloading the personal watercraft and a second position for storing and transporting of the personal watercraft at an oblique angle. A method of containing a personal watercraft in a shipping container is disclosed.

Offshore cargo rack for use in transferring loads between a marine vessel and an offshore platform
09738415 · 2017-08-22 ·

A cargo rack for transferring loads between a marine vessel and an offshore marine platform (for example, oil and gas well drilling or production platform) provides a frame having a front, a rear, and upper and lower end portions. The lower end of the frame has a perimeter beam base, a raised floor and a pair of open-ended parallel fork tine tubes or sockets that communicate with the perimeter beam at the front and rear of the frame, preferably being structurally connected (e.g., welded) thereto. Openings in the perimeter beam base align with the forklift tine tubes or sockets. The frame includes a plurality of fixed side walls extending upwardly from the perimeter beam that include at least left and right side walls. A plurality of gates are movably mounted on the frame including a gate at least at the front and at least at the rear of the frame, each gate being movable between open and closed positions, the gates enabling a forklift to place loads on the floor by accessing either the front of the frame or the rear of the frame. Each gate can be pivotally attached to a fixed side wall. The frame has vertically extending positioning beams or lugs that segment the raised floor into a plurality of load-holding positions. Each load holding position has a plurality of positioning beams or lugs that laterally hold a load module (e.g., palletized load) in position once a load is placed on the raised floor.
