FLUID CONTAINMENT STRUCTURE AND SYSTEM
A modular fluid containment system has wall segments that are joined at angled corners to form a closed wall. A membrane spans the closed wall and is connected to the closed wall with membrane attachment members. In some embodiments, a truss may span the closed wall and support a second membrane that protects impounded liquids from the environment.
Container
An apparatus for storing or transporting flowable materials or other materials, such as diesel fuel, includes a container and a support. The container is supported by the support. The support sits on or is mounted across an upper part of an open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities (such as coal or iron ore). The apparatus is movable between an expanded configuration in which the container is expandable into a lower part of the open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities, and a collapsed configuration in which the container is collapsible to the support. In use, a railway wagon is filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration. At the port, the coal is emptied from the railway wagon and the container of the apparatus is filled with fuel. The support supports the apparatus on the railway wagon and the container extends into the railway wagon. The fuel may then be transported back to the mine, where the apparatus is removed from the railway wagon and the container decanted. The railway wagon is again filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration and the cycle continues to meet the fuel requirements of the relevant mine.
SOFT CONTAINER FOR TRANSPORTING LIGHT LOOSE LOADS
A soft container for transporting light loose loads comprises a receptacle in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with a volume exceeding 13 m.sup.3. Said receptacle has a charging neck on an upper base, a discharge valve on the bottom, and four soft perforated partitions arranged inside the receptacle. The container further comprises a sling structure, the slings of which are connected to one another on the bottom of the receptacle, and lifting loops of the sling structure have a detachable connection to the receptacle, proximate the upper base thereof, as well as being connected to one another by an additional load-distributing sling strap which, in turn, has a connection to the receptacle, proximate the upper base thereof. The sling structure also includes sling straps arranged along the outer perimeter of the receptacle.
Above ground containment systems and methods for assembling same
A water containment apparatus includes a straight strut arrangement comprising a plurality of straight strut assemblies forming an alternating v-shape and inverted v-shape pattern; and a curved strut arrangement comprising a plurality of corner strut assemblies forming a desired curvature and connecting two straight strut arrangements to form a closed loop water containment system.
SOFT-SIDED BULK MATERIAL STORAGE CONTAINER
In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, a stackable bulk material storage container is provided. The bulk material storage container includes a panel-less frame having a top portion and a bottom portion, which is supported by cross bracing. A hatch is coupled to the top portion of the frame. The hatched is opened when loading the bulk material into the container and closed during transport. A gravity feed outlet is coupled to the bottom portion of the frame. The outlet is opened to dispense the bulk material out of the container and closed during transport. A containment structure is further provided, which has a greater storage capacity over conventional containers. The containment structure is defined by an upper portion formed of a soft material and a bottom portion formed of a rigid material. The containment structure is attached to the frame at least at the hatch and the gravity feed outlet.
Portable Liquid Storage Tank
A collapsible portable tank for storing liquids has a liquid impervious liner. The side walls of the liner are supported by a collapsible frame. A plurality of hand grips in a zigzag pattern on the floor panel of the liner facilitates manipulation of the liner to collapse the liner with the frame. The liner floor panel is of heavier material than the side walls and is heat sealed along its entire perimeter to the liner side walls, affording a more durable floor while eliminating clumsy excess liner material at the corners of the tank. Another hand grip on the floor panel opposite a drain in the liner side walls facilitates evacuation of stored liquid from the tank prior to collapsing the tank.
Frame For Clamping A Container And Method For Mixing In A Flexible Container And Container For Clamping
A flexible package for storing and transporting bulk goods. Such flexible package can have material-impermeable connections for spreading out sections of the flexible package wall so as to correspond to a predefined shape. One or more docking connections for filling and discharging can be included. The flexible package can have a square bottom and adjacent to the sides thereof triangular stubs as lateral walls. Together, such lateral walls can form an upwardly open pyramid shape. Opposite the bottom, a coupling element can be connected in such a manner that it presents the flexible package so as to be sealable in a standardized manner on open-sided ends of the lateral walls.
CLAMPING APPARATUS
A clamping apparatus for clamping a sheet to a supporting structure of an agricultural storage apparatus. The clamping apparatus includes a first clamping section and at least one second clamping section and is attached to a wall of the supporting structure. The, or each, second clamping section includes a lever section and a catch section pivotably attached to the lever section. In use, a section of the sheet is clamped between the first clamping section and the catch section of the, or each, second clamping section thereby securing the sheet to the supporting structure.
Discharge apparatus
A discharge apparatus for use with a bulk container of the kind having an outlet through which product is to be dispensed. The apparatus has an inlet end, an outlet end and a wall extending between said inlet end and said outlet end. The apparatus is configured for directing a flow of product from an outlet of a bulk container, and is further configured to permit relative movement between said inlet end and said outlet end between a retracted position and an extended position. The outlet end may take the form of a plate for supporting the lower end of the bulk container. The plate may be vibrated for assisting discharge of product from the bulk container.
CONTAINMENT SYSTEM
A containment system comprising a flexible bladder having at least one opening through which a liquid or other fluid or material can be pumped or transferred into or out of the bladder. The bladder has a contracted and an expanded or semi-expanded state. A support structure surrounds the side surfaces of the bladder and provides lateral support to the bladder when the bladder is in an expanded or semi-expanded state. The support structure comprises a plurality of panels that are seperably connected to one another to form an enclosed walled support structure. The at least one opening in the bladder is operatively connected to a point exterior to the support structure to permit the bladder to be filled or evacuated from a position exterior to the support structure.
