Substantively hermetically sealing container
A container that seals in a volume of material is provided. The container may be routinely opened, closed and material may be removed or added. A removable plate and a base define a maximum volume available for material when the container is sealed. A screen may be disposed between the plate and the base. The screen may optionally be comprised within the base, adhered to the base, or removable from the base. Features for enabling manipulation of the plate and/or screen are optionally provided.
TAMPER EVIDENT OVERCAP FOR DRUMS
A snap fitting, tamper evident overcap for drums and bung covers is described. The tamper evident strip is attached to a peripheral edge of the overcap, and it is removed by tearing along a vertical groove formed in the strip and then, by way of a grasping handle, rotationally pulling the strip so as to break the frangible bridge elements that previously held the strip to the overcap.
Composite container lid
A composite container lid includes an inner plug 1 with a flow-out port and an upper lid 3 detachably attached to a container mouth portion 80, wherein: the inner plug 1 includes an upper lid engaging cylinder 5, a container mouth portion-securing member 7 having a circumferential wall 9 that surrounds the upper lid engaging cylinder 5, and linking pieces 11 that link the inner surface of the circumferential wall 9 to the upper lid engaging cylinder 5 so as to form a flow-out port 13; the upper lid engaging cylinder 5 is provided, on the upper end portion of the outer surface thereof, with a circumferential protuberance 5a for temporary engagement; engaging pieces 37 are formed on the inner surface of a top plate 31 of the upper lid 3, the engaging pieces 37 having an undercut 37a for temporarily engaging with the circumferential protuberance 5a that temporary engages with the upper lid engaging cylinder; and a sound-suppressing protrusion 50 is provided in a region surrounded by the engaging pieces 37.
Spouted pouch adapted to be filled with a flowable product and method of production thereof
In combination a spouted pouch to be filled with a flowable product by a filling machine, a plug, and a cap. The interference fit plug is releasably mounted over the top end of the neck of the spout body and hermetically seals the product passage of the spout body. The plug is adapted to be removed by the filling machine and to be replaced by pressing the plug onto the neck after filling of the pouch. The plug removal, filling, and replacing of the plug are preferably performed in an aseptic environment. The cap is after the filling of the pouch and the replacing of the plug onto the neck. The capping is preferably performed by a capping machine in a non-aseptic environment.
Container with insulated cover
A container assembly is provided comprising a container body, a stopper member removably attachable to the container to seal a container aperture thereof, and a thermal insulation member removably attachable to an upper body portion of the container body. The thermal insulation member has a sidewall extending downwardly from an upper portion and defining a downwardly opening cavity within which the upper body portion and the stopper are positioned. The sidewall and the upper portion of the thermal insulation member each include an inner wall and an outer wall spaced apart from the inner wall. An insulation chamber is disposed between the inner and outer walls. The thermal insulation member includes an engagement portion adapted to engage with a corresponding engagement portion of the upper body portion to removably attach the thermal insulation member thereto.
Containers and closures
A closure may have a top wall and a side wall depending from the top wall. A plug seal device may depend from said top wall within the side wall. The plug seal device may have an upper section, a lower section, and a sealing section proximate the boundary between the upper section and the lower section. The sealing section is operable such that when the plug seal device is inserted in an opening to an inner cavity in a container, the sealing section engages with an inner container surface to provide a seal between an inner cavity of the container and the external environment.
CLOSURE SYSTEM AND KIT
A closure system is disclosed for closing an opening of a container. The system includes a stopper member made of an elastic material, a plug portion configured to tightly fit into the container opening and a cover portion configured to abut a boundary surface adjacent to the container opening. A cage member of the system is made of a shape-retentive material, and includes a stopper contacting section, a clipping structure and an intermediate section therebetween. The clipping structure is configured to clip in a corresponding structure of the container. The cage member is configured such that the stopper contacting section applies a pressure to the stopper member cover portion to push the stopper member cover portion onto the boundary surface of the container opening, when the stopper member plug portion is fitted into the container opening and the cage member clipping structure clips in the corresponding structure of the container.
DEVICE FOR CLOSING A THREADED NECK OF A CONTAINER PROVIDING TAMPER-EVIDENCE
The invention relates to a device (1) for closing a threaded neck (2) of a container (3) providing tamper-evidence, the device (1) comprising a cap (4) and a plug (5), wherein the cap (4) comprises a front surface (6) and a skirt (7) surrounding the front surface (6), wherein the skirt (7) comprises an inner thread (8) for engaging with a thread of the threaded neck (2) of the container (3), wherein the plug (5) is at least partially arranged inside the skirt (7), wherein the front surface (6) has an inner piece (10) and an outer piece (11) that surrounds the inner piece (10), wherein the inner piece (10) is connected to the outer piece (11) by a connection (12), wherein the connection (12) between the inner piece (10) and the outer piece (11) has a material weakening, wherein the inner piece (10) is in mechanical engagement with the plug (5), the mechanical engagement allowing a force, preferably a rotational force to be transmitted from the inner piece (10) to the plug (5).
CAP AND CAPPED VIAL
Provided is a cap including: a cap body; a protective cover; and an attaching device for attaching the protective cover and a top plate of the cap body to each other. The top plate includes: a through hole; and a top plate annular portion. The protective cover includes a cover body having a lower surface arranged away from the top plate. The attaching device includes a cover attaching portion formed into an annular shape around the through hole and projecting from the lower surface of the cover body toward the top side of the top plate annular portion or from the top side of the top plate annular portion toward the lower surface of the cover body to attach the protective cover and the top plate to each other.
MAGNETICALLY RE-SEALABLE FOOD STORAGE CONTAINER
Described may be a magnetically resealable food storage container having a container body and a lid portion. The container body may have a container upper portion, a container opening, a container ledge, a container closure magnet, and a bottom container surface. The lid portion may a lid external end and a lid internal end. The lid internal end may be configured for placement against the container body and may further have a magnetic closing assembly or a magnetic lid ring. And the magnetic closing assembly may further comprise a lid closure magnet, a lid magnet housing, and a lid hinge. The lid hinge may connect the lid magnet housing to the lid internal end and may be further configured for a reversibly rotational clasping action between the lid closure magnet or and the container closure magnet or a magnetic track located on the container body.
