A bi-injection molded housing of a locking cap for a pharmaceutical vial includes a first material forming an upper ring, legs having upper ends rigidly connected to the upper ring, and bridges connecting lower ends of the legs in pairs, at least some bridges comprising a flexible tab configured to engage under a flange of the vial. The housing further includes a second elastomer material forming a stopper configured to seal the vial when the flexible tabs engage under the flange. At least one inner face of the upper ring made of the first material is rigidly connected to the stopper made of the second material.

Container System

A container system for liquids includes a container body with a mouth, a resilient stopper and a cap. The stopper has a body portion closely received within the mouth, and an annular flange projecting radially outward from the body. A resilient annular spring element is located between the flange of the stopper and the cap, and biases the flange against the mouth of the container when the container is assembled and maintains a seal between the flange and cap. In one embodiment, the spring element has a unitary, tear-drop shaped geometry in cross-section with a rounded bulbous body portion smoothly tapering to a curved, radially-inwardly projecting lip, although the spring element could have other asymmetrical configurations such as a cone, helical, V, S or C shape in cross-section. The spring element defines at least two separate points of contact between the flange of the stopper and cap.

Container stopper having multi-lock structure
10207843 · 2019-02-19 · ·

The present invention relates to a container stopper having a multi-lock structure in which a multi-lock structure is applied to the inner circumferential surface of an opening of a lower stopper, and to the outer circumferential surface of a sealing protrusion of an upper stopper coupled thereto, thereby preventing the coupled stoppers from being easily opened due to shock or other external force generated during the distribution process or storage of a product. To this end, the present invention provides a container stopper comprising: a lower stopper (110) which is coupled to an inlet (10) of a container (10); and an upper stopper (120) which allows an opening (111) provided within the lower stopper (110) to be selectively opened and closed, wherein at least two locking parts (130) are formed so as to be spaced apart from each other in the insertion direction on the inner circumferential surface of the opening (111) of the lower stopper (110) and on the outer circumferential surface of a sealing protrusion (121) of the upper stopper (120) coupled to the inner circumferential surface. The present invention as described above has the advantages of allowing the main locking position of the upper stopper coupled to the opening of the lower stopper to be formed so as to be inclined toward the end side of the sealing protrusion, thereby preventing the upper stopper from being easily opened by external shock, and also of improving the assembly strength of the upper stopper by applying the position of the locking parts to at least two points on the outer circumferential surface of the sealing protrusion.

Method for authentication of the closure assembly of a container

A method for authenticating a closure assembly of a container including a closure and an overpack covering at least the closure. The overpack, including a first radio frequency identification tag having a first unique identifier, the method includes reading the first unique identifier, the closure including a second radio frequency identification tag including a second unique identifier and a storage unit including at least data relating to an overpack/closure pair including the unique identifiers of a closure and an overpack associated with the closure, reading the first unique identifier and comparing the identifiers of the overpack and of the closure thus read to verify that the pair being authenticated does coincide with the pair defined in the data assembly, emitting a communication signal corresponding to the result of the verification, the closure assembly including means for destroying at least one of the identification tags when the container is opened.

Pull Ring Seal System for Containers
