A lid assembly including a camming lever and a sealing member for selectively sealing and unsealing a drinking aperture of a lid main body. The camming lever is rotatably to selectively move the sealing member between a sealed position adjacent to and an unsealed position spaced apart from the drinking aperture. The camming lever includes a lever arm extending from two cams having a cam axle extending therebetween. The cam axle is pivotally attached to the sealing member, which is pivotally attached to the lid main body. The cams engage an upper surface of the lid main body. A stub axle extends laterally outward from each cam and engages a ledge which limiting upward movement of the cams.

A drink opening is disposed in the top and a plug assembly having a drink opening plug is provided. The drink opening plug can be selectively moveable between a closed position in which the drink opening plug is received within the drink opening for closing the drink opening and an open position in which the drink opening plug is not disposed within the drink opening. The lid can also include a plug retainer disposed in the cap and configured to retain the drink opening plug in the open position.

An example lid assembly may include a lid and a slider. The slider may be configured to move between a closed position where the slider covers a container opening to aid in preventing spilling of contents of the container and an opened position where the slider uncovers the opening such that the contents of the container may be released. The slider may include at least one slider positioning magnet and at least one lid positioning magnet that may be configured to lock the slider in the closed position and lock the slider in the opened position. The magnets may have a length and a width that are equal to each other.

A drink aperture can be disposed within the cavity and formed through at least a portion of the upper surface to allow fluid flow therethrough. A slideable tab can be at least partially disposed within the cavity that can have at least two opposing sides that are generally straight, providing a track for the slideable tab.

The present disclosure relates to a drinking vessel, such as a water bottle, with a straw to facilitate access to the fluid within. According to a first aspect of the disclosed technology, there is provided a drinking vessel, comprising: a straw; a lid comprising an opening operable to receive the straw; a container; and a cap operable to be in an open position or a closed position; wherein when the cap is in the open position, the straw is arranged to provide fluid communication between a user and the container through the lid, and further wherein when the cap is in the closed position, the straw is urged by the cap into a bent shape such that the straw itself occludes fluid communication.
