CLOSURE DEVICE FOR HINGED-LID CONTAINERS

A closure having a frame, a lid and a first closing means as well as at least one second closing means, apart from the first closing means. The closing means each have a lid portion and a frame portion, the first closing means can be opened by the frame portion being manipulated and the second closing means can be opened by the lid portion being manipulated. The lid portion of the second closing means has a pressure-exerting surface and a counter-pressure surface, the lid portion can be fixed by the retaining forces such that a pivoting force acting transversely to the retaining forces can be introduced into the lid portion, via the pressure-exerting surface and counter-pressure surface, in order for the lid to be pivoted out of the closed position.

The present disclosure is directed to a child-resistant container which includes a lid having a peripheral flange which defines a lifting tab having top and bottom surfaces. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from the bottom surface of the lifting tab. The container includes a base having an upper peripheral rim and a surface formed in a corner portion of the base between two adjacent sides of the base. The surface includes an aperture to receive the downwardly extending protrusion of the lid when the container is closed forming a child-resistant opening mechanism. The surface is uninterrupted but for the aperture.

The closure comprises a tamper-evident member (56) which is initially frangibly attached to the lid. Upon first opening of the lid the tamper-evident member is released from the lid and falls between the sidewall and the outer wall.

The first wall and second wall are two opposite sides of the body. The compartment is located between the first wall and the second wall. The lid is pivotably mounted on the second wall of the body. The elastic assembly is located on the second wall, and has a flexural segment and a first protruding section. The first protruding section is located on the flexural segment and contacts the second wall. The first protruding section supports a space between the flexural segment of the elastic assembly and the body.
