Plastic container with strapped base
A container may have a base, a sidewall connected to the base, a bell connected to the sidewall, and a finish connected to the bell. The base may have strap ribs to resist deformation of the base. The sidewall may have recessed columns to resist bending, leaning, crumbling, and/or stretching. The strap ribs and recessed columns may vertically line up along a central axis of the container to communicate forces on the container vertically along the container to continuously resist deformation in the base and the sidewall.
PLASTICS MATERIAL BOTTLE WITH INTERSECTING TENSION BANDS
Provided is a plastic container with a bottom area and a main body, which adjoins the bottom area in a longitudinal direction of the plastic container, wherein the main body includes a wall which extends all the way around in a circumferential direction of the plastic container and an opening area which at least indirectly adjoins the main body in the longitudinal direction and has a container opening, wherein the circumferential wall of the main body includes at least one first groove and/or elevation extending in a first direction and at least one second groove and/or elevation extending in a second direction.
Collapsible bottle with flow channels
A collapsible bottle with a channelway provided in a side wall which, in collapsed conditions of the bottle, the channelway becomes engaged with opposed portions of the side wall and define a flow passageway therethrough toward a discharge opening at one end of the bottle and a closed other end of the bottle.
Synthetic resin bottle
A synthetic resin bottle, which has a pressure reduction absorbing performance and which exhibits a cylindrical shape in which the appearance of the body section to which the label is attached is similar to a perfect circle, is provided. A synthetic resin bottle 1 having cylindrical body section 3 has four pressure reduction absorbing panels 8 arranged at equal intervals in body section 3, and column portions 9 each having an arc-shaped wall surface 9a arranged between pressure reduction absorbing panels 8. Arc-shaped wall surface 9a of column portion 9 in a cross section of body section 3 constitutes a part of a virtual single true circle 10. Total circumferential length of arc-shaped wall surfaces 9a of column portions 9 is 55% to 75% of entire circumferential length of true circle 10.
Hot-fillable plastic container having vertical pillars and concave deformable side-wall panels
A hot-fillable plastic container includes a base and a body extending upward from the base. The includes a deformable cylindrical sidewall portion defining a central vertical axis, wherein the deformable cylindrical sidewall portion comprises at least two vertical pillars arranged along the body circumference. Each vertical pillar is joined to the next vertical pillar by a generally concave deformable sidewall panel having a concave arc-shaped transverse cross section of curvature radius. The curvature radii of the vertical pillars are smaller than the curvature radii of the generally concave deformable panels, and each transition between a vertical pillar and a generally concave deformable panel is smooth without any convex portion. The large curvature radius of each generally concave deformable panel allows an inward deformation of each panel, and each pillar is slightly pushed outward and is slightly deformed with a small reduction of its curvature radius, under the vacuum created inside the container by the volume reduction of a hot-filled product during cooling.
Container and method of manufacture
A container is provided that includes a top portion, a bottom portion and a plurality of sidewalls that each extend from an upper limit of the bottom portion, the top portion extending from upper limits of each of the side walls such that the sidewalls are positioned between the top portion and the bottom portion. The container comprises a plurality of indents therein, the indents being arranged in a configuration to avoid top load failure. That is, the indents provide strength to the container, which makes the container stronger than containers that are made from the same material, have the same weight and the same average wall thickness, but do not include indents.
Synthetic resin bottle
Synthetic resin bottle (1) including tube-shaped body section (3) comprises eight decompression absorbing panels (8) disposed at equal intervals in body section (3) and pillar sections (9) respectively disposed between said decompression absorbing panels (8) and formed by arcuate wall surfaces (9a). Arcuate wall surfaces (9a) of pillar sections (9) in a cross section of body section (3) configure parts of one imaginary perfect circle (10). A total of circumferential lengths of arcuate wall surfaces (9a) of pillar sections (9) is 20 to 50% of a total circumferential length of perfect circle (10). Consequently, it is possible to realize the synthetic resin bottle having decompression absorbing performance in order to absorb a decrease in internal pressure, the exterior of the body section of the synthetic resin bottle being seen as a cylindrical shape whose shape is almost the same as that of a perfect circle.
Boxed container system
A container system includes a container for holding a fluid. The container may be positioned within a box that provides structural support to the container while allowing the container system to be stacked. The container may include chamfered corners and a glug mitigation mechanism. The box may include corresponding chamfered corners and one or more access apertures for providing access to the container handle and container opening that are positioned within and below the top surface of the box.
Bottle
The present invention is a bottle that is formed from a synthetic resin material in a cylindrical shape having a bottom at one end, including: a plurality of circumferential grooves that extend continuously around the entire circumference of a body portion and are formed at a distance from each other in a vertical direction. The circumferential grooves extend cyclically in a circumferential direction while undulating in the vertical direction when viewed from the side of the body portion as to form wave patterns, and the respective phases of circumferential grooves that are mutually adjacent to each other in the vertical direction are offset from each other.
Lightweight Container Base
A container defining a longitudinal axis and a transverse direction that is transverse with respect to the longitudinal axis. The container includes a finish and a sidewall portion extending from the finish. A plurality of ribs are defined by the sidewall. A base portion extends from the sidewall portion and encloses the sidewall portion to form a volume therein for retaining a commodity. The base portion has a contact surface for supporting the container. A plurality of straps extend radially along the base portion away from the longitudinal axis in the transverse direction, each one of the straps defines a strap surface that is closer to the finish than the contact surface. The plurality of ribs and the base portion are configured to place the container in a state of hydraulic charge-up when top load is applied to the container after the container is filled.
