Non-crosslinked polyolefin films or doped crosslinked polyolefin films (i.e., crosslinked polyolefin films that include a tear-alignment additive) may be used to shrink-wrap packages to create a wrapped package that is protected from tampering and damage but is also easy to open with little effort required by the customer. There is no need for perforations, and the films are quiet when torn, folded, cut, etc. Tear initiating cuts may be formed in the film. A tab may be placed over the film, and when the tab is pulled it applies enough force to start a pair of straight tears. The tears may be parallel or perpendicular to each other. The tears propagate in non-crosslinked polyolefin easily in the machine direction of the film as the tab continues to be pulled. In a doped crosslinked polyolefin, the tears propagate in the machine direction or perpendicular to the machine direction of the film.

The sealing edges are configured such that the radially innermost sealing edge still seals when the radially outer sealing edges have just been released.

An automatic opening and closing device for a container comprises a closure flap within the container and a pivot arm with a weighted portion. When the container is in a first position, the centre of mass of the weighted portion is offset horizontally and vertically from the pivot point of the pivot arm and acts to bias the closure flap to close an opening in the container. When the container is rotated in a first direction to a second position, the weighted portion causes the pivot arm and closure flap to rotate relative to the container in a second direction opposite to the first direction, to bias the closure flap away from the opening. In the first position, the weighted portion is offset vertically by a greater distance than it is offset horizontally. A locking mechanism may also be provided, which is operable to the user to keep the container closed even when tilted.

The tab has a fulcrum portion extending opposite to the first actuating point and terminating within the curved tongue shape. Lifting of the first actuating point pulls upward on the curved tongue shaped panel at the distal looping portion imparts a shear force of the frangible score line to initiate upward rolling of an extended portion of the curved tongue shaped panel.

The package can include a first portion defining a first chamber containing a prophylactic device; and a second portion defining a second chamber containing a quantity of lubricant composition; wherein the first chamber of the first portion and the second chamber of the second portion are arranged to separably engage one another about external surfaces of the first portion and the second portion so as to form a unitary package. The locking tab is configured so that when the first retention flap is folded from a relaxed position to a folded position, at least a portion of the locking tab including the first retention flap can be slid through the slot and after the first retention flap passes through the slot, the retention flap automatically resiliently rebounds at least partially toward the relaxed position so as to block retraction of the locking tab from the slot.
