Expandable padded mailer
A padded mailer includes a pouch formed by front and rear sheets, each including a bottom edge, a top edge, and opposing side edges. The sheets are connected along their bottom edges and each of their side edges to define an interior space. The top edges of the sheets are unconnected to form an opening into the interior space. The padded mailer also includes a liner disposed in the interior space, including an expandable sheet having a bottom edge, a top edge, and opposing side edges. The bottom edge of the expandable sheet is secured adjacent the bottom edges of the front and rear sheets, and the top edge and the side edges of the expandable sheet are unsecured to the front and rear sheets. Pulling the top edge of the expandable sheet relative to the pouch causes the expandable sheet to expand and increase the thickness of the liner.
Can lid made of resin laminate steel sheet for resin-metal composite container, can bottom made of resin laminate steel sheet for resin-metal composite container, and resin-metal composite container
A can lid made of a resin laminate steel sheet for a resin-metal composite container, includes: a top sheet portion; and a curved portion located at an outer periphery of the top sheet portion, in which the resin laminate steel sheet includes a steel sheet, a thermoplastic polyester-based resin layer provided at a first surface of the steel sheet, a modified polypropylene-based resin layer provided at a second surface of the steel sheet, a polypropylene-based resin layer, and an ethylene-propylene copolymer resin layer, a melting point of the ethylene-propylene copolymer resin layer is 135? C. or higher and 150? C. or lower, a melting point of the thermoplastic polyester-based resin layer is higher than a melting point of the polypropylene-based resin layer by 40? C. or more, and a range of a proportion of the ethylene component in the ethylene-propylene copolymer in the ethylene-propylene copolymer resin layer is 1.0 mass % or more and 45.0 mass % or less.
Tear-Open, Reclosable Package
A tamper-evident package utilizes a transparent resealable adhesive structure such as a tape or a label to cover the closure opening. Upon a first opening of the package frangible portions of the package front between adjacent disconnected arcuate cuts are torn. This results in a package which is visually tamper-evident after a first opening. A series of disconnected arcuate cuts comprising an apex and two free ends are arranged in laterally extending opposing top and bottom rows. In one case the cuts have portions of their distal free ends which overlap vertically and are parallel and aligned with the longitudinal axis of the package. The cuts are preferably centered laterally and are flanked on the right and left sides by two continuous wavy slits. One row of the cuts can comprise cup shaped cuts with a flat linear portion of each cut lying along its apex.
Carbonated beverage closure
A threaded closure comprises a vent assembly that can be actuated to release pressure from a container on which the closure is located. The vent assembly is made from a flexible material that allows a vent to be uncovered by tearing the material. In one embodiment, the vent assembly allows pressure to be released form a container prior to removal of the closure.
Container closure
A container has an opening and an automatic closure. A closure flap is secured to a pivot arm, the other end of which has a weighted portion. The closure flap and pivot arm are located within the container. When the container is in a normal upright position, the weighted portion biases the closure flap into a closed position. When the container is rotated in a first direction, the weighted portion causes the pivot arm and closure flap to rotate in a second, opposite direction so that the opening is exposed.
LID, COMBINATION OF CONTAINER AND LID, AND CONTAINER WITH LID
A lid that enables easy and hygienic opening and closing of a spout in a lid, is formed for opening and closing an open mouth part of a container, and has a top surface part formed so as to cover the open mouth part when the lid is closed. The top surface part includes a small lid piece and an opening part formed when the small lid piece is lifted, a joint part joined to one end part of a tab member is formed near a tip end of the small lid piece, and the tab member has a knob part formed at the other end part.
Inner seal with a sub tab layer
A pull-tab sealing member for a container containing an upper laminate forming a pull-tab bonded to a lower laminate capable of being heat sealed to a container's mouth or opening. The upper laminate defines the pull tab wholly within a perimeter or circumference of the seal. The sealing member further includes a sub tab layer or member under the gripping tab for concentric structural support.
ULTRASONICALLY WELDABLE POLYMERIC LIDS AND MICROWAVABLE POLYMERIC CONTAINERS
Embodiments herein relate to an ultrasonically weldable polymeric lid for a microwaveable polymeric container. In an embodiment, a lid for microwaveable containers can include a polymeric ring. The polymeric ring can define a central aperture having an inner diameter. The polymeric ring can also include a recessed shelf contacting the inner diameter of the central aperture and an ultrasonic bonding surface disposed to the outside of the recessed shelf. The lid can include a peelable film disposed on the recessed shelf and occluding the central aperture. The peelable film can be removably bonded to the recessed shelf, and can include a tab attached to an edge of the peelable film. In some cases the lid can contain substantially no metal content. Other embodiments are also included herein.
Beverage can end having an asymmetrical opening
A beverage can end for pressurized contents includes a score that defines a pair of The lobes have longitudinal axes that are not mutually parallel and in some embodiments substantially perpendicular to improve flow.
