Can Comprising a First, Dispense Opening and Second, Vent Opening and a Single Pull tab
A can for containing a liquid has a top end having a dispense area defined by a first score line and a pull tab coupled to the top end by a rivet. The pull tab has a puncturing end for breaking the first score line and pushing into the interior of the can without detaching the dispense area to open a dispense aperture. A vent area is defined by a second score line and positioned on the opposite side of the rivet. The first and second score lines are separated by at least one torsion stripe of the can top material for acting as a hinge by torsion upon lifting the actuating end of the pull tab. As the dispense aperture is opened by pushing the dispense area into the interior of the can, a vent aperture is opened by pulling the vent area outwards.
RESEALABLE BEVERAGE CAN LID
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a partial score line forming a panel and a hinge with the panel capable of being partially freed from the lid along the partial score line with the hinge preventing the panel from being completely freed from the lid with the panel being moved from a closed position to an opened position once the panel is partially freed from the lid, a rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a tab portion connected to the rivet, the tab portion having a front capturing portion and a rear lifting portion, and a latch element formed in the panel with the latch element capable of being captured by the front capturing portion for movement of the panel back into the closed position.
Can lid and beverage can
A first score line (430) is curled inward at one end section (431) and the other end section (432) of the first score line (430) so as to go into a region enclosed by the first score line (430), and the first score line (430) approaches a center line (CL) of a tab as going to the trailing ends thereof. In addition, a curvature at which the first scored line (430) is brought closer to the other end section (432) side is applied to the one end section (431) of the first score line (430), and a curvature at which the first score line (430) is brought closer to the one end section (431) side is also applied to the other end section (432) of the first score line (430).
Can with end venting feature
A metal end for seaming onto a metal container body. The end comprises an outer curl, a centre panel within the outer curl, and a tab having a longitudinal axis (A). The end further comprises a rivet securing the tab to the centre panel, and a score in the centre panel having two spaced apart ends which define a hinge therebetween, the hinge lying on one side of said longitudinal axis (A), such that operation of the tab fractures the score and causes the region of the centre panel within the score to pivot about the hinge and provide an aperture in the centre panel. The score extends into a region of the centre panel that is behind a centre line (B) running through the centre of the rivet and perpendicular to said longitudinal axis (A), and on the other side of the longitudinal axis (A) from the hinge.
Metal end closure with an extended score which is opened with a secondary tool
A metallic container end closure is provided that generally comprises a primary pour opening and an extended or secondary score which is opened with a secondary tool to form a secondary pour opening. The fact that a secondary tool is required allows the secondary score to be shallower, and thus more secure than deeper scores that are openable by finger pressure alone. Once the secondary tool is used to fracture the secondary score, a secondary pour opening is produced adjacent to the primary pour opening to form a larger opening. A user may insert materials such as ice or oranges through the enlarged pour opening.
LID FOR AN ALUMINUM BEVERAGE CAN
Can lid (14) for an aluminum beverage can, said can lid comprising a pull tab (38), said can lid having a chuck wall (26) defining a plug diameter B, a countersink (28) and central panel (30) having a panel radius (48). On the central panel, a score line (34) defining a tear panel (32) and a rivet (40) for connecting the pull-tab to the can lid are arranged. The lid has a lid plug diameter of between 45 to 49 mm, an outside diameter of between 52 to 55 mm, and a weight of less than 1.9 g. The central panel has a thickness of less than 0.19 mm. The rivet is arranged off-center on the central panel. The rivet is tilted, so that the rivet provides an axis of rotation of the pull tap that has an angle of between 2 and 4 with respect to an axis that is vertically orientated with respect to the central panel, and/or at least one ramp-up bead (56) is arranged on either side of pull tab or on both sides of pull tab.
Can comprising a first, dispense opening and second, vent opening and a single pull tab
A can for containing a liquid having a top end is disclosed. The top end has a dispense area defined by a first score line and a pull tab coupled to the top end by a rivet.
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a first scored opening and a bottom side, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, the first rivet having an indentation formed in the bottom side of the lid, the first rivet having a scored first circumference, a tab portion connected to the first rivet, a second rivet connected to the indentation of the first rivet, and a closure element connected to the second rivet.
Resealable beverage can lid
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a first scored opening and a bottom side, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a tab portion connected to the first rivet, a second rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, the second rivet having an indentation formed in the bottom side of the lid, the second rivet having a second scored opening, and a closure element connected to the indentation.
