Resealable beverage can lid
A resealable beverage can lid has a top side having a first scored opening and a bottom side, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, the first rivet having an indentation formed in the bottom side of the lid, the first rivet having a scored first circumference, a tab portion connected to the first rivet, a second rivet connected to the indentation of the first rivet, and a closure element connected to the second rivet.
CLOSURE LATCHING SYSTEM
An easy-opening end closure that may also be reclosed, suitable for joining to a container. A cover panel is bonded around its perimeter to an end panel with a rotatable lever interposed between them. To open the closure, a user applies force to the rotating lever to move it axially around an attachment point and progressively debond the seal perimeter. In this process, latching mechanisms ensure uni-directional movement of the lever relative to the shutter and joining of the two components at the end of the rotational sweep.
CLOSURE DEBONDING SYSTEM
An easy-opening end closure that may also be reclosed, suitable for joining to a container. A cover panel is bonded around its perimeter to an end panel with a rotatable lever interposed between them. To open the closure, a user applies force to the rotating lever to move it axially around an attachment point thereby engaging integrated mechanisms to progressively debond segments of the perimeter seal.
RESEALABLE BEVERAGE CAN LID
A resealable beverage can lid is disclosed having a lid having a top side having a first scored opening and a bottom side, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, the first rivet having an indentation formed in the bottom side of the lid, the first rivet having a scored first circumference, a tab portion connected to the first rivet, a second rivet connected to the indentation of the first rivet, and a closure element connected to the second rivet.
STAY-TAB BEVERAGE CAN WITH PROTECTIVE GUARD
A stay-tab beverage can with protective guard is provided. An example protective guard made integral with beverage cans keeps insects and foreign objects out of the beverage can. Rotating versions of the protective guard can use the existing rivet of a stay-tab to accommodate the protective guard as an add-on to the manufacturing process. Other versions of the protective guard hinge or slide to protect the can's opening. Example designs of the protective guard are attached to the can in various ways, and rotate, flip, or slide to engage the opening of the beverage can. Some example designs of the guard can hold a drinking straw in place, with other versions cap or seal the beverage. A webbed version of the guard provides a grill or grate, while solid flap versions open for fluid flow and close when the flow stops. The protective guards may be made in various commercially desirable shapes and colors.
Resealable beverage can lid
A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a score line forming a panel, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a second rivet formed in the panel and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, and a tab portion comprising a main body portion having a rear lifting portion having an indented portion, a first forward rupturing portion, a second forward rupturing portion, an opening formed in the body portion for forming a tongue having a first aperture, a second aperture, and the tab portion connected to the first rivet through the first aperture and the second rivet through the second aperture.
PLATE WITH OPENING AID FOR CANS
A metal plate (1) with an opening aid for cans has an upper and a lower face, a central (7) and a radial (8) edge, and two lateral edges (18) connecting ends of the central and radial edge. The plate is slightly curved, and the radial edge extends over a partial circle with an angle of at least 150, wherein a receiving area (9) for the rivet is provided on the central edge. The lateral edges have edge reinforcements reinforcing the plate. The radial edge has a groove anchor (10) that forms a sliding rail that engages a groove of the beverage can. The upper face is equipped with at least one elevation (15) that engages the lever of the can and functions as an opening aid. The elevation has gradually inclines towards its ends, and runs approximately concentrically. The upper face has at least one pushing aid, preferably with a knob (20). The corners between the lateral edges and the radial edge form radially protruding corner flanges (13).
