Maintainable pallet
12122556 · 2024-10-22 ·

In one embodiment, a maintainable pallet is provided with interchangeable support structures and sensors for identifying any damage that the interchangeable support structures may experience. The maintainable pallet may include two side supports, two end supports coupled to the two side supports end-to-end to form a rectangle, a central support position between the two side supports, a plurality of top transverse support fastened onto the two side supports to form a top loading surface and the central support with two-part releasable fasteners, and two bottom transverse supports fastened to the ends of the two side supports to form a bottom surface with two-part releasable fasteners. Sensors, in some embodiments, may be embedded in the two side supports to measure, for example, acceleration, location, or other logistic information. When a damaged piece is identified, the maintainable pallet can be disassembled by unfastening the two-part releasable fasteners to remove the damaged piece; and a new interchangeable piece will replace the damaged piece.

A re-usable crate system has a frame removably coupled to a pallet and extending above the pallet to form a crate to receive cargo over the pallet and at least partially between the frame. The frame has corner brackets at each corner of the pallet. Each corner bracket comprises a bottom plate proximate a bottom of the pallet, a top plate proximate a top of the pallet, and a pair of contiguous side walls extending between the top and bottom plates. The pair of side walls adjoin one another and forms a box with a pair of contiguous side openings opposite the pair of contiguous side walls. Each corner bracket has a pocket to receive a respective corner of the pallet.

An apparatus and method are described herein for a load carrying structure, and more particularly, to a load carrying pallet formed of modular interlocking components that do not require welding or bonding. An apparatus includes a load carrying structure having: a plurality of side members removably connected to each other to form a base; a first support member and a second support member, where the first support member and the second support member are each removably connected between a respective pair of the plurality of side members; and a top member, where the top member is removably fastened to each of the plurality of side members.

SYSTEM COMPRISING A PALLET, CONTAINERS AND STACKING PINS
20260042573 · 2026-02-12 ·

The invention relates to a system comprising at least one lightweight pallet and multiple similarly designed containers. Each container has four side walls and container base. The system includes stacking pins as separate components. The pallet features an upper deck with a bearing surface, supported by feet and/or runners, and incorporates first stacking pin receivers. Each container base is provided with at least one second stacking pin receiver. These receivers are dimensioned for insertion of a stacking pin, allowing a container to be securely fixed to the pallet. The stacking pin can be stably arranged in two positions: in the first, it engages the first receiver on the container's side while protruding over the bearing surface to engage the second receiver; in the second, it is countersunk in the first receiver, forming a clamping fit with the upper deck or its thread.

RACKABLE PALLET WITH CONFIGURABLE DECK HEIGHT

A pallet includes an upper structure and a lower structure. The upper structure includes an upper deck and a plurality of upper column portions projecting downward from the upper deck. The lower structure includes a plurality of lower column portions. The upper column portions and the lower column portions are configured such that the upper deck is configured at first height when the upper structure is secured to the lower structure in a first orientation and the upper deck is configured at a second height when the upper structure is secured to the lower structure at a second orientation. Optionally, the upper deck of the pallet includes a plurality of perimeter regions into which a desired one of a plurality of inserts can be secured to produce pallets with different perimeter options.
