A child resistant container is for containing at least one product, such as medicine. The child resistant container includes a body, a lid, and a directing portion. The body has an end portion defining an opening leading to an interior of the body. The lid is connected to the body via a hinge, and includes a cover portion and a protrusion extending outwardly therefrom. The cover portion is configured to move between a FIRST position corresponding to the cover portion covering the opening, and a SECOND position corresponding to the cover portion not covering the opening. The directing portion extends from one of the body and the cover portion, and at least partially encloses the protrusion when the cover portion is in the FIRST position. When the cover portion moves from the FIRST position to the SECOND position, the protrusion moves away from the directing portion.

A container includes a base defining a perimeter opening and a top surface within the perimeter opening. The top surface includes a plurality of discrete openings defining respective compartments extending downwardly from the top surface of the base. A first reclosable lid covers the perimeter opening when the container is closed to resist transfer of solid matter between the compartments of the base. An additional reclosable lid encloses one of the compartments to resist liquid from exiting the compartment when the compartment is closed.

A tamper-evident container and method is disclosed. The tamper-evident container includes a base portion and a lid (or cover). In an untampered with state, one edge of the lid is removably connected to one edge of the base portion. Namely, the lid includes a tamper-evident tab, wherein the tamper-evident tab includes a grasping overhanging portion that is flanked by at least one breakable joint and wherein the lid is removably connected to the base portion via the breakable joint of the tamper-evident tab. Further, the tamper-evident container comprises an interlocking interface between the base portion and the lid. A method of using the tamper-evident container is provided.

A frangible hinge is formed between a lid hinge segment extending outwardly from the lid rim and a base hinge segment extending outwardly from the base rim. The lid hinge segment includes at least one thumb rest that is positioned, sized and shaped to receive the thumb on a user's hand. The thumb rest has a counterpart finger rest located on the base hinge segment that is positioned, sized and shaped to receive a finger on the user's hand while the thumb of the same hand is in contact with the thumb rest. The frangible hinge is configured to rupture when the container is in the initially sealed arrangement by the application of a pushing force to the thumb rest and a contemporaneous pulling force to the finger rest.

A tamper evident and resistant container includes a tray, a cover and a hinge extending from the cover and tray defining a hinge axis about which the tray and cover relatively rotate between a closed position and an opened position. The container further includes a first tab provided on one of the cover or the tray and at least partially defined by a line of weakness. When the cover is in the closed position, a user may pull the first tab to tear the hinge to separate the cover from the tray, wherein the line of weakness at least partially defining the first tab is configured to tear when the first tab is pulled to tear the hinge to separate the cover from the tray.
