PALLET CONTAINER SYSTEM
20240059454 · 2024-02-22 ·

A pallet system having a plurality of like boxes which are sized and configured to a fit on a standardized air cargo pallet such as a U.S. Air Force 463L pallet. Each box has four sides and a hinged lid and is typically formed of a plastic material. The lid has a configuration that mates with the configuration of other like boxes such that boxes can be stacked on top of each other and be nested together without falling off. Each box also contains a first latch element which is mateable with a second latch element on an adjacent like box to fasten the boxes together in a horizontal direction on the pallet. A box may contain interior separators or compartments to suit size and content requirements. A box may be constructed to function for a particular purpose in addition to storage and shipping. Suitable labels and identifications can be applied to a box for each of identification in an inventory control system which may be implemented in an App for a mobile phone.

Child resistant and airtight container

Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.

Cups and Containers with a Living Hinge and Sleeves

The present invention is directed to cups, containers, and sleeves therefore having a living hinge and a dual seal structure on the lid such that the seal created by the contact of the lid with the inside of the cup or container ensures a secure, friction fit orientation to prevent spillage or leakage of the contents therein. The dual seal is created by a first component on the lip of the lid that extends down from the top of the lid and is substantial in shape with a rib on the bottom edge of the lip and the circumference of the lip that is of the same size and shape as the inner circumference of the cup or container such that a secure seal is created when closed. The cups and containers also have an inner concentric structure that follows the shape of the cup or container just above the base to offer stabilization, and ease of stacking, removal, and manufacture.

Stackable Display Containers

Disclosed are display containers (e.g., for packaging food items). Certain embodiments of the container are stackable and include a cover portion of the container having a non-flat presentation surface, and one or more stacking recesses defined between the non-flat presentation surface and at least one of the one or more cover body sides. A base portion of the container can include a mating surface shaped to mate with a portion of the non-flat presentation surface when stacked on a corresponding bottom container such that an inside of the corresponding bottom container can be viewed through the non-flat presentation surface of the bottom container. The base body can include one or more stacking feet extending from the base body and configured to insert into the one or more stacking recesses when stacked on the cover portion of the corresponding bottom container such that the one or more stacking feet engage the cover portion.

Container assembly

A container assembly includes a first component, a second component, and a third component. Each component has an outer wall, a side wall extending upward from the outer wall, and a lip extending outward around a perimeter of the side wall. Each of the lips of the components are releasably lockable with another lip to form a modular container assembly.

Ram-Based Methods for Forming Thermoplastic Article Having Smooth Edges
20190358890 · 2019-11-28 · ·

The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling. The deflection can include curling the spacer at or near the peripheral edge.

DRINK LID FOR A CUP

A recloseable lid for closing an open top of a cup terminating in an annular upper edge includes a cup mount defining an annular channel configured to receive the annular upper edge of the cup and a cap having an annular side wall extending upwardly from the cup mount and terminating in a top having an annular floor spaced above the cup mount. A drink opening is disposed in the top and a plug assembly having a drink opening plug is provided. The drink opening plug can be selectively moveable between a closed position in which the drink opening plug is received within the drink opening for closing the drink opening and an open position in which the drink opening plug is not disposed within the drink opening. The lid can also include a plug retainer disposed in the cap and configured to retain the drink opening plug in the open position.

A plate attachment assembly that includes a first plate shell and a second plate shell configured to interlock with one another. The first plate shell comprises a bottom wall and a surrounding sidewall with a flange disposed around the perimeter. The flange includes at least one locking tab with a locking protrusion. The second plate shell comprises a bottom wall and a surrounding sidewall with a flange disposed around the perimeter. The flange includes at least one locking tab receiving aperture and a notch shaped to correspond with the locking protrusion of the first plate shell. The first and second plate shells also include various different support walls on a bottom surface configured to secure the assembly to a drinking cup and/or another plate attachment assembly.

A container includes a first container portion and a second container portion. The first container portion includes a first panel and a first sidewall extending from the first panel. The first panel includes a groove formed around at least a portion of a perimeter of the first panel. The second container portion includes a second panel and a second sidewall extending from the second panel toward the first container portion when the container is in a closed position. The second panel includes an outwardly projecting rib formed around at least a portion of a perimeter of the second panel.

CONTAINERS FEATURING IMPROVED FOOD INTEGRITY AND TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE

A container lid and base assembly includes lid and base stacking features, as well as base chamfers that align with vents provided in the lid. When a plurality of the container assemblies is stacked, the lid and base stacking features nest with each other, while the chamfers align with corresponding vents in the stacked assemblies so that none of the vents is blocked by a next-higher container assembly. The stacking features can be centrally located, and the vents can be peripherally located. A plurality of the container assemblies can have differing sizes and/or shapes, while including mutually compatible stacking features, thereby enabling container assemblies of differing sizes to be stacked without blocking any of the vents thereof. The vents can be holes or C vents. The lid and/or base can be manufacturable by thermoforming. The lid and base can be separate, or joined by a hinge.
