Enhanced tamper evident bowl with blocked tab
A container which includes a base (12) that can hold food and a lid (14) that closes on the base, which clearly indicates if the lid has been opened after a clerk loaded food into the base and closed the lid. The base and lid each have trapping portions (20, 22) and pull-open portions (24, 32) with a tear-tab, or tear-open barrier (80). To close the lid, a clerk projects a tab (30) on the pull-open portion of the lid through a slot (26) in the pull-open portion of the base, and then presses down the entire trapping portion of the lid into the trapping portion of the base. The lid cannot be lifted up because the tear-open barrier (80) forming the top wall of the slot lies over the tab. To open the container, a person must tear the barrier so he/she can pull up the tab 30 and open the lid. The fact that the barrier has been torn is obvious.
Soft food shaping and storage container
A container is provided. The container has a lid and a tray. The lid has a contiguous array of walls extending therefrom. The tray has a recess for receiving soft food material. The recess is sized to receive the array of walls of the lid. The tray has a contiguous array of ridges corresponding to the array of walls of the lid. A top surface of the ridges of the tray contact a bottom surface of the walls of the lid when mated to form sealed compartments. A sealing mechanism is provided along a perimeter of at least one of the lid and the tray sealing the lid and the tray along perimeters thereof, and restricting separation of the bottom surface of the walls of the lid from the top surface of the ridges of the tray when mated. At least one of the lid and the tray is formed from a flexible material so that the lid and the tray can be partially separated to remove a food portion formed in one of the compartments without breaking all of the seals of the compartments.
WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY PROTECTOR AND METHOD OF PROTECTING A WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY
A protector for a windshield wiper assembly includes an elongated body defining a cavity receiving at least the blade of the wiper assembly. The cover is used to protect the assembly from snow, ice, mud, etc. Preferably, the assembly is pivoted away from the windshield before the blade is inserted into the body. Caps with decorative covers are provided at the ends of the body. The body may be made of a translucent material and may be covered with logos, insignia and other advertising materials.
Packaged roast and ground coffee
A packaged roast and ground coffee product comprising a lightweight, thin-walled reclosable container comprising a moisture barrier and an oxygen barrier, and a quantity of roast and ground coffee disposed within the container. The container comprises a finish having a top surface and one or more snap beads positioned below the top surface. A sealing member may be sealed to the top surface and may include a one-way valve permitting venting of CO.sub.2 resulting from off-gassing of the roast and ground coffee while preventing ingress of air. A removable overcap comprising a top wall and a depending skirt may be affixed to the finish. The skirt may include an inner surface with at least one locking member dimensioned to engage the snap beads in an interference fit. The packaged roast and ground coffee is preferably capable of withstanding stacking loads and loads associated with decreased interior pressure.
Pliable variable diameter sealing lid
A single piece sealing lid is made of a soft, flexible material that allows the lid to cover and reseal an opened food can. The flexible lip seal may have such a length so as to allow it to seal against the outside circumference of the can, below the can lid ridge. Since the flexible lip of the sealing lid is flexible, it can accommodate cans of varying diameter and does not require the can opening to be perfectly round. Therefore, the sealing lid may fit damaged or out-of round can openings. A pull tab may be provided on the sealing lid to assist in the installation and removal of the sealing lid from a can.
