COMPRESSION SEAL CONTAINER WITH WINDOW

A compression seal container includes a base with a cover, the cover including a selectively seal to engage with the upper rim of the base. The cover includes a core plate with a cylindrical central column and mounts a peripheral gasket. A slide plate mounts on the central column, and has a periphery to engage the upper rim of the base. A grip plate also mounts on the central column. Threaded engagement of the grip plate to the central column ensures that rotation of the grip plate moves the core plate toward or away from the slide plate to cause or release compression of the gasket. The closed outer end of the central core is transparent to create a window to view contents. The threads include a pawl and detent combination to create tactile indication of the extent of operable rotation of the grip plate.

A vacuum container assembly for storage of food includes a container, which comprises glass material, and a cover, which is sized complementarily to an open top of the container, through which food can be added to the container. The cover closes the open top upon positioning of the cover on an upper edge of a perimeter wall of the container with a gasket of the cover engaging the perimeter wall. The gasket is attached to a lower surface of a metal plate of the cover and extends circumferentially around the metal plate proximate to its perimeter edge. A valve, which is attached to and which extends through the metal plate, selectively allows passage of air through the metal plate. The valve fluidly couples the container to a vacuum generator to generate a partial pressure within the container, thereby sealingly engaging the gasket to the perimeter wall.

Vial with non-round seal

A moisture-tight, re-sealable container is disclosed having a lid and body. The lid and body have a non-round seal that is substantially moisture tight when the lid is seated on the body, admitting less than 1000 micrograms per day of water to a package. A reinforcement stiffens or reinforces at least a portion of the seal against inward deflection along an axis defined by the minor diameter when the lid is seated on the body. Optionally the reinforcement is at least one spline subdividing the reservoir. A method of making dispensers for objects of varying length to customize particular dispensers to dispense such objects of a particular length is also disclosed.

PORTABLE CONTAINER AND CONTAINER ASSEMBLY

A portable container and container assembly provides a durable, functional and simple carry-all solution for dry and wet provisions, goods and gear. Exemplary features of various embodiments include one or more of an overmolded pad on the bottom of the container, a removable handle incorporating a releasable retaining structure, a lid that seals within the container cavity and is flush with the outer periphery of the container sidewall and/or has a cellular internal reinforcing structure, a skirt extending around the sidewall that is integral with handle mounts for the handle and/or provides a connection point for external components, and a drop-in tray with a collapsible handle.

PORTABLE CONTAINER AND CONTAINER ASSEMBLY

An accessory for use with a portable container includes a jacket having a storage member and configured to extend around at least a portion of the sidewall of the container and a connection member connected to the jacket and configured to support the jacket in connection with the container. The connection member includes a connector configured to be connected to a port on the container such that a portion of the connector is received through the port.

According to one embodiment, a substrate storage container comprises: a container body configured to store a substrate; a lid that closes a rectangular opening of the container body; and an annular gasket located between the container body and the lid. The container body has at least either one of a guide rib or a guide slit in an opening portion around the opening. The lid has at least either one of a guide slit or a guide rib that is engageable with the guide rib or the guide slit of the container body. The guide rib and the guide slit engage each other when the opening is closed with the lid and prevent the lid from tilting at a predetermined tilt angle or more with respect to an opening surface where the opening is formed.

The container includes an upper extending tubular wall element extending from the perimeter of a bottom wall to an upper rim, the upper rim including an annular inward facing cavity formed by a reduced thickness area, which includes an annular inward facing upper bead positioned above the inward facing cavity. A base includes an annular portion having an outwardly directed resilient exterior annular wall which engages the inward facing cavity of the rim of the tubular element in snap fit engagement. A lid includes a plurality of spaced apart resilient flange/protrusion elements extending outwardly from a bottom portion of an annular portion of the lid; the flanges/protrusion elements being snap-fit engageable within an upward facing annular groove of the base.

A container for holding granular or powdered material. The container includes walls, a collar, a lid and a latch. The walls define an interior space and an upper portion, the upper portion defining a sealing flange and an opening to the interior space. The collar is attached to the upper portion. The lid is attached to the collar for positioning between an open position and a closed position, and adapted to cover the opening while in the closed position. The latch is attached to an outer surface of the lid. The latch may have an actuator rotatable in two directions relative to the lid and detachably engaged to a catch which protrudes from an outside surface of the collar.

Ruggedized enclosure for data storage device

The embodiments provide a rugged enclosure for an external drive. The enclosure is configured to provide shock protection and protect the external drive from contaminants. The enclosure may be provided with a set of cushions and spacers to accommodate different sizes and types of external drives. In addition, the enclosure may comprise a port that allows for use of the external drive while enclosed. Furthermore, the enclosure may comprise a retaining feature like a loop or lanyard that allows the enclosure to be easily transported and secured.
