Elastic tie and methods of using and manufacturing the same
Tying devices, and methods of using and manufacturing the same are provided. The tying devices can include an elastic band having at least one elongated malleable member attached to at least one end thereof. When the tying devices are wrapped about an object, under tension, in self-overlapping configuration, and the elongated malleable member is bent to approximate a surface contour of the object, even without wrapping the malleable member fully around the object, the combination of friction between the overlapping surfaces of the elastic band, and the rigidity of the elongated malleable member, can be sufficient to retain the tying device securely under tension.
Reusable clamp device
A clamping device having a cylinder and a screw. The screw is configured to be fastened into the cylinder such that the screw may be tightened, removed and reused. The device may also include a loop associated with the cylinder that wraps around the item to be clamped and is insertable into the cylinder.
Twist off cable tie fastener
An improved twist off cable tie fastener having an elongate flexible strap defining a plurality of parallel adjacent transverse teeth. First end portion of elongate strap is tapered to a rounded tip for insertion through a channel defined in a dimensionally larger head portion carried at opposing end of the elongate strap. At least one angulated tooth carried by a flexing arm within the channel irremovably engages with the transverse teeth defined in the elongate strap. The head portion has two opposing and spaced apart wings to facilitate grasping and rotation by a user about a minor transverse axis of the elongate strap. Partial rotation of the wings concentrates strap fracturing forces at a position immediately adjacent to the head portion causing destruction of the cable tie fastener and allowing removal thereof without tools.
PACKAGING TIE
A tie well-suited for use in retail packaging applications includes a plastic head insert molded around one end of a paper-based cord, such as a length of twine, string or other similar environmentally-friendly material. In one embodiment, the plastic head includes a generally rectangular buckle shaped to define an elongated channel dimensioned to receive the free end of the paper-based cord. A deflectable pawl is coupled to the buckle and is naturally biased to project into the channel and selectively engage the cord in order to retain the tie in a closed loop configuration. The buckle includes a substantially open side wall through which the paper-based cord can be extracted after the tie is formed in its closed loop configuration. A clip is preferably provided on the head for selectively retaining a section of the paper-cord that has been inserted through the elongated channel.
Cable tie
A cable tie has a buckle member, an engaging band, and an insertion band. The buckle member has an engaging hole and an engaging block. The engaging block is resilient, is formed in the buckle member, and extends into the engaging hole. The engaging band is selectively inserted into the engaging hole and has two side faces and a thickness. At least one of the side faces has a channel having multiple unidirectional teeth. The insertion band is integrally formed on and extends from the buckle member and has a thickness. The insertion band is stacked with the engaging band when the insertion band and the engaging band are inserted into the engaging hole in the buckle member. The sum of the thicknesses of the insertion band and the engaging band is substantially equal to the height of the engaging hole.
Reusable cable tie
A reusable cable tie comprises an elongated strap, made of semi-rigid plastic material, and a buckle, made of rigid plastic material, for interlocking with the elongated strap. The elongated strap includes a first end a second end, an inner side and an outer side. The inner side incorporates a rack with a multiplicity of teeth, alternating with a multiplicity of grooves. The multiplicity of teeth extends from the first end up to a flat indented zone adjoining the second end that is provided with several teeth and grooves, the several teeth projecting from the outer side in an external zone corresponding to a beginning of the flat indented zone. The buckle incorporates a cavity so shaped and sized as to allow a passage through of the first and the second end of the elongated strap.
CABLE TIE FOR MOUNTING CABLES AGAINST A PANEL
A cable tie with means to form a loop in order to mount cables against a panel or a marking badge. The cable tie has an integrated panel anchor having an elongated body or can be folded into an elongated body. The cable tie is intended to be mounted in a panel that has an opening with a long and narrow shape that could be combination with a circular hole. The mounting starts with a bending around the panel anchor which is then mounted into the opening. Then the cable tie is rotated typically 90 around the axis normal to the panel. Then by releasing the bending, the band on each side of the panel anchor is fixed in the elongated part of the opening and the panel anchor is fixed towards the back-side of the panel.
Reusable tie strap with multiple apertures
An elongated tie strap comprising a head having a plurality of similarly dimensioned through-holes, a body having a plurality of axially oriented ridges on opposite lateral surfaces, and a tail having a thickness less than that of the body. The cross-sectional dimensions of the body are substantially equal to the cross-sectional dimensions of the through-holes, and the distance between adjacent ridges is substantially equal to the through-hole depth, such that the body may couple to the head when inserted through one or more through-holes.
Flexible Tie and Related Methods
A flexible tie comprises a body, bulbs with holes and at least one end piece, arranged such that bulbs can be passed through the holes in other bulbs to form loops in the apparatus. These loops can be used to bundle objects together, add a handle to an existing object or prevent other loops from coming undone. The tie can also be undone and used again. Multiple loops can be formed using the same tie.
