Bag with Releasable Zip Tie
20220297894 · 2022-09-22 · ·

A zip tie that is assembled inside a channel within a bag's rim is implemented, in which the zip tie includes a slit to enable easy tearing thereof. The use of the slit lets users know that no one accessed the contents of their bag while also making it easy to access their food when it arrives from a deliverer. The zip tie includes a strap with teeth, a receptacle, and a strap end that can be inserted into the receptacle. The strap's teeth engage with the receptacle's tongue, in which the tongue prevents the teeth from advancing in the opposite (for removal) direction. The strap also includes a slit to facilitate the zip tie's easier dismantling when the strap is mated with the receptacle. The bag includes an exterior and an interior inside which is a receiving portion that receives food or other items.

BINDING TOOL

A binding tool includes: a flexible strip-shaped belt; a head connected to a base end of the belt and including a through hole through which the belt wound around an object is inserted; a plurality of ratchet teeth protruding from a front surface of the belt at positions spaced apart in an extension direction; and a plurality of ratchet claws locking the plurality of ratchet teeth inserted through the through hole, wherein the head has, on one side in a width direction, a slit through which the belt can be inserted or removed, and the plurality of ratchet teeth and ratchet claws are inclined such that each of one end portions thereof on the one side in the width direction is on a downstream side of the extension direction as compared with each of the other end portions thereof on the other side in the width direction.

Flexible one-time use restraints

A disposable, flexible locking restraint having a base and first and second straps integrally molded of a dry flexible plastic is provided. During use, toothed portion of the straps engage toothed portions of associated pawls to provide for unidirectional travel of the straps through the base. For increased security, pawl locks are provided on the base. Each pawl lock has first and second retainers to engage the pawl lock on the base, where the first retainer is spaced from the second retainer along a length of the pawl lock. When the first retainer retains the pawl locks in the base, the pawls have sufficient freedom of movement to allow unidirectional movement of the straps through the base, and when the pawl locks are depressed such that the second retainer retains each pawl lock in its respective lock aperture, the pawl lock engages the pawl and presses the pawl against the strap, preventing further travel of the strap.

An assembly for securing a cord in a selected compact configuration. The assembly can comprise a first attachment apparatus configured to connect to the cord. An elongate body can extend from the first attachment apparatus. The elongate body can be configured to be positioned to extend at least partially around the cord to at least partially secure the cord in the selected compact configuration. A second attachment apparatus can be positioned along at least a portion of the elongate body. The second attachment apparatus can be configured to connect to the first attachment apparatus to at least partially secure the elongate body at least partially about the cord in the selected compact configuration.

Integrated release feature for pawl-latching devices

This document describes an integrated release feature for pawl-latching devices. In particular, the integrated release feature is integrally connected to a pawl that is connected to a locking head of the pawl-latching device. The locking head defines a slot that extends through the locking head and includes a first channel conjoined with a second channel. The pawl is disposed within the second channel and positioned internally to the locking head. The pawl has multiple pawl teeth to engage serrations on an elongate strap when the elongate strap is disposed within the first channel. The integrated release feature includes at least one wall shaped to define multiple sides of an open cavity in a midsection of the pawl for receiving a release tool, and the wall has opposing ends that both face the first channel and have one or more additional pawl teeth.

Cable tie having a wedge locking mechanism

A cable tie is provided with a wedge disposed within a passage extending through a head. The wedge is compressed within the passage when tension is applied to the strap. As a result, the wedge compresses the strap against an inner surface of the passage to restrain the strap.

Releasable cable tie

A releasable cable tie and method providing a molded one-piece thermoplastic elongated planar strap for binding electrical cables and a plurality of strap teeth formed on one side of the strap for engaging a locking head formed at one end of the strap. A novel releasable latch on the locking head provides a large and wide thumb pad having a width at least 95% of the width of the strap and an index finger back plate positioned below the thumb pad and having a width and length at least as large as the width and height of the thumb pad.

Adjustable Tightening Apparatus

A tie to secure items therewithin that can be loosened or released to allow the items to be removed therefrom and the tie to be reused. The tie includes an elongated strap having teeth formed thereon that engage with teeth in a locking head to allow movement in only one direction (tightening). A release pad in conjunction with a backplate enables the teeth in the locking head to be disengaged from the teeth on the elongated strap when the release pad is depressed so that the strap can move in an opposite direction (removal). The release pad and the backplate are configured to face away from the items secured within the strap to provide more room for engagement (e.g., by a user's hand) and provide necessary leverage to release the cable tie without need to press the tie against other items (e.g., cables, chassis).
