There is provided a multilayer film having a structure in which a layer (X) is an outermost layer and at least the layer (X), a layer (Y), and a layer (Z) are adjacently laminated in sequence, wherein the layer (X) is made of a resin composition (A) comprising a vinyl alcohol polymer (a) having a melting point of lower than 150° C. as a main component; the layer (Y) comprises an adhesive resin (B) having a melting point of lower than 150° C. as a main component; the layer (Z) comprises a polyolefin resin (C) having a melting point of lower than 150° C. as a main component; and the resin composition (A) comprises alkali metal ions (b) in 25 to 1500 ppm. Such a multilayer film is suitably used as a gas barrier film because it has excellent appearance and interlayer adhesiveness even while having a vinyl alcohol polymer as an outermost layer.

The present invention relates to a package (10) for an aerosol provision system component or an article. The package comprises a container (11) with an access (15), and an inner pack (20) located within the container such that the inner pack can be accessed via the access. The inner pack comprises a sheet material that is arranged to form the inner pack. The inner pack comprises a first end wall (22) proximate to the access and a second end wall (23) distal to the access longitudinally distant from the first end wall. The first end wall comprises first and second flaps (25, 26) of the sheet material which extend from opposing sides of the first end wall. The first and second end flaps of sheet material are secured in position by an adhesive (29) configured to seal the inner pack. The present invention also relates to a method of manufacture of a package.

A gas barrier layer-forming composition contains a solid content containing a polyurethane resin, a water-soluble polymer and a curing agent. The polyurethane resin contains a reaction product of an acid group-containing polyurethane resin having an acid group and a polyamine compound having an amino group. The polyurethane resin content, the water-soluble polymer content, and an inorganic layered mineral content in the solid content are 45 mass % or more and 75 mass % or less, 20 mass % or more and 35 mass % or less, and less than 2 mass %, respectively.

The present invention relates generally to the field of food packaging and packaged foods. In particular, the present invention relates to cellulose-based food packaging. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a food packaging comprising a thermoformed cellulose-based container element, a biodegradable lining inside the container element and a recyclable lid element, wherein the lid element comprises a multi-layer metallized paper-based packaging material comprising a paper layer, a pre metallization coating layer, a metallized layer, and at least one post metallization coating layer, wherein the post metallization coating layer comprises a post-metallization tie layer coating comprising an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer dispersion, or another polyolefin dispersion functionalized with methacrylic and/or carboxyl acid groups and wherein the container element has a shape adapted to the shape of the food to be packaged in the food packaging. One advantage of the subject matter of the present invention is that it allows it to package food with a headspace of less than about 10 vol.-% without the application of a vacuum.
