Continuous decontamination and sterilization device

A continuous decontamination-and-sterilization device possessing high efficiency, reliability, and safety of operation to treat external surfaces of a package that is conveyed to a sterile working chamber. A decontamination chamber decontaminates (with a decontamination agent) bottom and lateral external surfaces of the package conveyed by a first conveyance, with an upper surface seal portion of the package being sealed. An aeration chamber removes residue of decontamination agent from an external surface of the package while the package is conveyed by a second conveyance means. A sterilization chamber sterilizes the upper surface seal portion of the package by irradiating electron beams as the package is conveyed by a third conveyance means, with the bottom or lateral external surface of the package being supported. The first conveyance means includes a sealing means by an adsorbing function to adsorb and capture the upper surface seal portion so as to seal the same and convey the package, with the bottom and lateral external surface portions of the package being open.

MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING FOR TRANSPORTATION AND RIPENING OF BANANAS AND PLANTAINS WITH EXTENDED QUALITY PRESERVATION
20180255796 · 2018-09-13 ·

A packaging apparatus suitable for containing and transporting a specified quantity of bananas or plantains includes a vented box and a plastic bag that includes laser microperforations located in target areas separated from each other by distances greater than their largest dimensions. When the bag is placed within the box, filled with bananas or plantains, and hermetically sealed, the microperforations and box vents allow for limited transmission of gases into and out of the bag to establish a modified atmosphere within the bag, and to allow ethylene ripening of the bananas or plantains. The target areas are located at the top of the bag, and also at the bottom of the bag, so that they are not occluded when the bananas or plantains are placed within the bag with their concave sides facing down.

Sealing bag for hydrogen gas, and method for dissolving hydrogen gas

The present invention aims at dissolving hydrogen gas in a liquid and maintaining the solubility of the hydrogen gas in the liquid at a high state. A sealing bag 1 that dissolves hydrogen gas in a liquid by being put into the liquid includes a hydrogen permeable film that can permeate hydrogen gas that is sealed and filled in the sealing bag to outside. By sinking this sealing bag 1 into the liquid in advance, the hydrogen gas that is permeated through the hydrogen permeable film is dissolved in the liquid. Furthermore, since the hydrogen gas is continuously permeated little by little through the hydrogen permeable film, the solubility of the hydrogen in the liquid can be maintained at a high state.

Method for controlling banana and plantain quality by packaging
10010089 · 2018-07-03 · ·

This invention provides a method to control banana and plantain quality by providing packaging in laser microperforated plastic bags having registered microperforation arrays to allow for transmission of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and ethylene gases into and out. The method improves even ripening of the bananas and plantains, extends green life and yellow life of the bananas and plantains, controls dehydration and reduces crown mold and pedicle withering of packed bananas and plantains during transport and storage.

PREFORMED LYOPHILIZATION CONTAINERS AND METHODS OF PREPARING THE SAME

A lyophilization container includes a first section having a first layer, a second layer aligned with the first layer, and a cavity defined by the alignment of the first and second layers, where at least one of the first and second layers is preformed to have a three-dimensional shape. A lyophilization fixture includes a base member and a lid member. The lid member is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the base member. The base member and lid member together define a housing that receives at least a portion of a lyophilization container.

FACILITATING INTER-SYSTEM DATA TRANSFER WITH SERALIZED DATA OBJECTS

A computer server includes processor and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry executes instructions to cause the computer server to select, from a database, a user from a plurality of users, encode a unique identifier for the selected user into an image uniform resource locator (URL), transmit a communication incorporating the image URL to a user agent associated with the selected user, receive, from the user agent, a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) request for an image associated with the image URL, parse the received HTTP request to identify whether an impression cookie is present, and in response to the impression cookie being present, extract a set of impressions from the impression cookie and generate a new impression cookie based on the extracted set of impressions.

FUNCTIONAL PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR MAINTAINING FRESHNESS HAVING IMPROVED ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
20180065346 · 2018-03-08 ·

A functional food packaging material and a method for making the same, where the food packaging material includes: a first film comprising synthetic resin, calcium carbonate powder coated with zinc oxide, boehmite powder coated with titanium dioxide, and hydroxyapatite powder coated with iron; a second film laminated on the first film and comprising powdery particles that contain synthetic resin, loess, elvan, kaolin, zeolite, feldspar, black mica, jade, selenium and charcoal; and a third film laminated on the second film and made of synthetic film. The first film has a higher porosity than that of the second film, and the second film has a higher porosity than that of the third film. The food packaging material has improved antimicrobial activity and maximizes food storage stability. The amount of functional powder added is minimized so that the formability of the packaging material is not adversely affected.

Stable pharmaceutical composition containing 8-[(3R)-3-amino-1-piperidinyl]-7-(2-butyn-1-yl)-3,7-dihydro-3-methyl-1-[(4-methyl-2-quinazolinyl)methyl]-1H-purine-2,6-dione or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof

The present invention relates to a stable pharmaceutical composition comprising amorphous or crystalline linagliptin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of linagliptin, mannitol, copovidone, and magnesium stearate, processes for preparing the stable pharmaceutical composition, and a container comprising the stable pharmaceutical composition.
