20210037800 · 2021-02-11 ·

Lure apparatus for fishing and associated methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, the lure apparatus includes (1) a head portion; (2) a tail portion; and (3) an optional weight portion. The head portion and the tail portion are operably engaged. The head portion has a center opening, which enables a fishing line or wire to pass through. The optional weight portion is positioned inside the head portion to adjust the weight of the overall lure apparatus. The head portion has two side openings. The tail portion has two arms, each of which has a protrusion configured to be positioned in a corresponding one of the two side openings of the head portion. Once the two protrusions are positioned in the side openings, the two protrusions engage with the head portion and restrain the tail portion from moving relatively to the head portion.

A fishing attractor that communicates through a fish's electroreceptor lateral line that is used in water to attract nearby fish by appealing to the fish's six senses. The fishing attractor includes a wire shaft, a copper bead, a propeller having one or more blades and a central portion with a first magnet inside and a second magnet arranged in reverse polarity to the first magnet. Embodiments include a fishing attractor that when moved, the blades of the propeller begin to rotate and the copper bead and propeller move in a linear motion as well causing the first magnet to rotate and move up and down along the wire shaft, producing an electric potential pulse from the electromagnetic field created by the first and second magnets in opposing relation and from exciting electrons in the wire.

A fishing lure system includes an elongated body with a front end and a tail end; a weight, embedded within the tail end of the body; a hook, located at the tail end and having a shank, connecting the hook to the top of the body, and a barb, connected to the shank and extended above the body; an inverted bill, secured at the front end of the body at a connection point and extending substantially upward from the connection point on the body; a line attachment point, secured at the head end of the body and below the inverted bill; the tension applied by the line causes the tail end to rise, positioning the body in a horizontal position mimicking the movement of a natural prey; the release of tension by the line allow the tail end to fall, causing the body to become substantially vertical; and the inverted bill causes resistance when the tail end falls, slowing the fall to further mimic the movement of natural prey such as a crawfish.

The disclosed fishing lure systems have a fishing lure, bead sleeve, and a stop that can be used in combination with a fishing line and hook. The fishing lure has a pliable body and a pre-formed hole. The bead sleeve can be fitted within the pre-formed hole with an interference fit because the pliable body expands to fit around the bead sleeve to hold it in place within the pre-formed hole. The stop is positioned on one side of the fishing lure and bead sleeve to prevent it from sliding down towards the hook or possibly over some portion of the hook. The stop can be positioned spaced apart from the hook on a fishing line so that the distance between the fishing lure and the hook remains at a desirable spacing while in use.
