The portable water-purifying pouch allows a large flow rate of drinking water to be obtained in a short time while filtering, with significantly superior efficiency, foreign substances such as bacteria and harmful germs in the water being treated merely by self-weight or by lightly applying pressure with a hand to the water being treated.

The invention comprises a packaging structure which hermetically encloses a product prior to initial opening. The packaging structure comprises a line of weakness which defines a removable portion and a marginal region circumscribing the removable portion. A flap having a central region and a peripheral region is affixed to the packaging structure. At least a portion of the central region of the flap is affixed to the packaging structure via permanent adhesive and is aligned with the removable portion of the packaging structure. The peripheral region of the flap is affixed to the packaging structure via peelable adhesive and is aligned with the marginal region of the packaging structure.

A system for holding multiple beverage containers may include a cooler or carrier with toting handles, closing tabs, and base. The base may be formed from a molded plastic, rubber or synthetic rubber material. The base may also include feet that hold the base a sufficient height from the ground. The base may have a generally conic tapering drain floor that makes up its top surface. The tapering drain floor may make draining the carrier easier by directing water toward a drain hole located in the base. Extending up from the base may be a multi-layer soft-sided wall where different layers perform different desired functions. For example, an inside layer closest to the internal cavity may be a waterproof layer, a middle layer may be an insulating layer, and an external layer may be a decorative layer.

The multi-layer film can include an outer film portion including the embedded tacky layer and an inner film portion. An opening feature formed in the multi-layer film includes a flap configured to be manipulated by a user to create an opening through the multi-layer film. The inner film portion can include a release layer configured specifically to interact with the tacky layer to provide a desired separation peel force and resealing functionalities. The outer film portion can include an outer film layer disposed on an opposite side of the tacky layer from the release layer that is configured to permanently adhere to the tacky layer.

The base portion and the spout body (11) have cooperating permanent snap-fit joint portions (56, 21, 23) that keep the ring member fixed to the spout upon removal of the cap body. The pouch further comprises a flow control device (80) made distinct from the spout and from the cap unit. The flow control device is mounted to the neck (14) and has an external part (82) located outside of the exterior surface of the neck. The cap body is arranged over the neck and the flow control device. The ring member and the external part of the flow control device have cooperating retention portions (55, 83).

Score lines are formed in both structures to enable an opening to be formed through the laminate by lifting an opening portion (e.g., a flap or the like) of the two structures out of the plane of the laminate. The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate.
